Wanted to provide some advice that helped me a lot progressing from mid-elo to GM the last few sets. TFT at it’s core isn’t really about you making decisions, it’s about recognizing patterns. The game itself is rng and it makes a lot of decisions for you, the most important thing you can do is to recognizing a “go signal” and mentally commit to a comp. Stage2 rageblade means you are 9/10 times playing kog or rebel zoe so start buying those units. A huge part of learning patterns is looking at other ppls boards who are streaking early-mid game and understanding what lets them streak. Did they randomly 2* a 2- cost on stage2? Not a lot of learn there since that’s a high roll. Did they only have a lux2 with 1 star sentinels but still streak cuz they know how strong lux2 is and how her shied synergizes with sentinels high armor/MR? That’s a repeatable pattern. A perfect player can top4 any game pre-master even with the worst rng

Hey great video and guide!! I just wanted to offer some advice on the production side. Check your editing software for a "de-breathe" effect for your audio. It's not super noticeable until you notice it. You could always try moving further away from the microphone when recording the voice over. Hope this helps!

These are great tips, thank you coach 👍 My key take aways / new things I learned : - Questions to ask before slamming, which one of the 3 is the Most Valuable Component adn if we’re happy with the completed item slammed - First 12 anomalies won’t repeat

Thanks for the tips! Definitely needed the itemization guide. I also realize I commit to uncontested lines too much. The other day I played rebel and didn't have a single item for my 2 star Zoe... I got bailed out by an early Jinx but still bot 4'd cause unitemized Zoe was useless 😂 Good reminder that it's ok to go for a fast 8 comp when if contested by one other player

Your explanation of three components was super helpful, especially talking through the tear, bow, glove example. Im wondering why you consider archangels a good early slam? In my view, that leans toward Heimer or Renata (which i think is somewhat conditional depending on what you natural stage 2), and for Heimer that kills a tear that is needed for blue buff - for instance, if I had a tear, rod, glove opener i would usually slam gauntlet and then play around tear for blue buff (heimer) or shojin (silco/zoe, maybe heimer). I was just wondering because i always avoid slamming archangels early but maybe i should be doing it more
@UpsetmaxTFT16 күн бұрын
For item economy slamming gauntlet and playing around tear is definitely better and go for Shojin -> Silco or Blue buff -> Heimer however archangels is a better single item compared to a single JG especially on stage 2 where fights are long. So it really depends on your spot if you’re trying to 5 streak or play for BIS !

Wish i had found a guide like this on accident a few sets ago, wouldve fixed some of my bad habits waaaay earlier lmao. Im a consistent high plat/emerald player thats hit diamond a few times when i really get studious and tryhard. Trying to hit it now this set, and several of these tips are things that i happened to realize recently that made my jourmey from plat to emerald this set feel easy. These tips genuinely work, which is why i wish i found this before i learned it through trial and error lmao. That being said, the "leveling too soon to get to 8" tip is incredibly helpful, I am 100 percent still making that mistake, so now i have something to work on. Thank you sir.

hey, as a french speaker, i just dont understand the idea of a "stall composition", its basically compo who needs times like archangel/guinsoo, to be able to reach their peak efficiency right ? :) thx btw your tutorial are really on point
@UpsetmaxTFT15 күн бұрын
Salut! Stall composition is essentially a comp you play that benefits from long fights. This is usually due to an item that gets stronger over time such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade or Archangels Staff or through a unit that gets stronger over time such as Heimerdinger or Silco due to their kit/trait. Within these comps, extra frontline is ideal because you just need to “stall” the fight and allow your backline to ramp up their damage. Merci!

I've been struggling hard at platinum this set after reaching emerald for the first time last set. Sounds like i might need to work on my tempo rather than looking for which reroll comp to do. May have also been underestimating the impact of being contested. They changed the number of cards in the pools? How do you check that?
@UpsetmaxTFT11 күн бұрын
Yes they initially changed the unit bag sizes but reverted them back to: 30 1-costs 25 2-costs 18 3-costs 10 4-costs 9 5-costs

Hey i wounder if you advice to roll at level 6 and 7 in order to stabilize and delay the level 8
@UpsetmaxTFT17 күн бұрын
Hey! Unless you’re sitting on some strong pairs on lvl 6-7 or have an augment that allows you to spike stage 3 (power up, over encumbered, prismatic pipeline), I’d recommend avoid rolling on 6-7 if you’re still trying to play a lvl 8 board. If you 5 loss stage 2 and don’t have a stable board stage 3 I’d recommend transitioning to a reroll comp either 2 or 3-cost to stabilize and play instead.

What does it mean to have a better spot? Just look at amount of copies and/or gold? Do items matter for the spot?
@isaansari983818 күн бұрын
yes bro, just think of it like this, "am i in a good spot for renata comp"" think to myself : are others trying to play the same comp, holding renatas and sentinels early? Do i have a good item opener? can i slam a shojin or archangel or atleast have 2 components for them? if not i probably shouldnt play it, do i have a good augment for them? econ related or visionary or sentinel related. some brief examples but make sure to know where you yourself are at in terms of likely hood to hitting your comp, items and hp RELATIVE to other players as well
