Am I the only one who thinks that having to get first to win is dumb? Why is it not just first to a certain amount of points?

This is how it used to work, the community complained because its "not a hype ender" AKA someone can win by placing 8th. Neither format is perfect, checkpoint format is better from a hype perspective, which is important for esports.

They could do both, something like first win after 20 points or get 1.5x the points to diminish the luck but i get there will always be some involved
