Glad to see a new vid from you! I didn’t know they made an oval tip like that. I plan on removing a few rf modulators from different consoles in the future so this should be a time saver vs the braid. Lovin your spacious work station there too!

Thanks for watching! That oval tip makes removing rf units much easier. The one I have here is still a little small for aome, like the one on NES, but still makes a difference. It did this Turbo Rf in one shot.

Nice job man. I have similar installed in my white PCE. Inverted Sega Saturn port. Each system seems to have its qerks. For example I got the HD Retrovision cables for PS2 after all the praise. I ended up getting a picture so freaking dark out of my PS2 its insane! Cant see jack on my IArt JVC. Hooked up Insurrection Industries S-Video cable, boom, pefect picture. After researching it seems the PS2's component and RGB are dark in most cases. As you mentioned the RGB out of the Turbo/PCE has a redish tone and blues that dont differ enough like the composite do with no issue. Biggest telling for me was Bonk 1. His skin is so freaking red lol. Now I really enjoy the RGB look overall, but some games on the system do look off. I dont have that issue with my Genesis, SNES, N64, and Saturn all running rgb scart. So thats why I say qwerky. Though the Saturn does seem a tad too dark at times depending on the game, but just barely. Might try S-Video on it and see if it makes a difference. While at it I'll try it on the PC Engine and see if the red tint clears up as well. Good call on the tip.

I dont know why I notice it in particular with consoles that dont natively do component, but its not a universal rule as you said. I think the Rerovision on the Saturn looks really good, Genesis also good. The Turbo and my AES, not so good. PS2 is just picky picky. I think Zaxour really balanced and paid special attention to the S-Video on the Turbonanza.

Use that flux paste on every solder joint you make. And the iron should be hot but not too hot. Hot glue or silicone would be good to keep that connector in place instead of relying on solder only.

Interesting mod, i actually cancelled my everdrive pro when i realised there was no stereo out, i'm waiting on the analogue duo to drop through the letter box, fingers crossed it gets jail broken and then i'll have a good modern replacement for my Duo R (which i can store away nice and safe) I like the option of the various outputs using the same A/V socket though.

Yeah its a bummer that you have to mod to get the stereo, but that's only for the cd games. One thing I still need to try is if you get cd stereo with an NEC Turbo Booster. Not sure if anyone addressed that. Not that those are easy to come by. Analog Duo does look awesome to be fair, but Im gonna pass on that for now.

There is a point why this was not that succesful as the nes even with its bigger sprites and great colors.. as a child i even did not know this console exits .. it was always sega and nintendo..
