Looks like another great Starter Set from C7. WH40K is such a vast IP, this seems a fantastic idea for people who've not spent much time in the setting. Personally, I've barely dipped a toe into the vast WH40K ocean, but - to extend the metaphor - this set presents a tempting beach to go paddling and leave a few footprints in the sand. System sounds a cool lite alternative, even though my head-canon muscle-memory picks up a pair of percentiles when I see a Warhammer RPG.

I won the previous copy of the rules in pdf from this channel. I then bought the C7 version in physical. Looking forward to more wrath and glory

Good post Jeff. I like the WFRP system and I will investigate this. I worry though that it will be mainly 40K combat based and might leave little room for other kinds of roleplay & characters who focus in other areas.

I've liked the idea of a 40K RPG since getting into the game in the late 80s. But I've never ended up getting any of the ones they actually finally produced. I'm definitely curious about this. Back in the 90s, I think I got my fix by running Fading Suns, which captures some elements of the 40K vibe, while doing its own thing. Still, there's some cool lore in the actual 40K setting.

I can’t believe I’m one of the pre-gens! 5:32

Ironically, two of the pregens, the Space Marine and the Sister of Battle, should kill the Eldar on first sight, if you stay true to the 40k lore.

90% of the time but there are exceptions in the lore, mostly along the lines of "The enemy of my enemy is a useful tool"
