Katana guy and some of the adventurers fighting the Old Guard are the lucky ones because they died, all the others are getting tortured to the point of death then healed and the torture resumes. So the guys eaten by the roaches don't get to die they get healed and eaten again and again, as to Neuronist's victims no escape by death either.

yeah man, very few people get that detail, even among some people who did read the novel but didn't paid too much attention, Ainz really just went "Okay, so you all want money right? here, a lot of money, now turn back... or else..."

@@NyesoEX but people who notice that forgot there was NOTHING telling them "here, a lot of money, now turn back", yes he give them easy money, and yes they could have take it and turn back but NO ONE WILL EVER DO THAT in ANY UNIVERSE, isnt like he let a letter saying "take that and turn back or face the consequence" they have no way to know this money was here on purpose to give them what they want and let them escape with it... no one would think this is the case in their situation :x

What? No, the moment they'd touch the money outside, they were dead. The point is not "here's some money, so you can turn back". The point is to see whether they are here are guests or as thieves. Ains isn't going to kill people just because they come to his house and show proper respect, but if they're here to steal from him, they are thieves. What makes you think Ains would find it ok if they "just stole a little". If someone comes in my house and take my stuff, I'm not going to be happy merely because they could have taken more. How are they "not getting greedy" when they steal my stuff?

"Are we the baddies?" There was treasure in all the smaller buildings, more than any of the groups could need, as a test. It's nothing to Nazarick but if they had taken it and left Ainz wouldn't have done anything to them, but instead they pocketed it and kept going, proving their greed. The roach room is horrible, as they consume you alive, and then heal you with a single healing spell and then eat you again and again and again. You essentially become an unlimited snack, similar to Demiurge's happy farm with the "sheep" which are skinned to make scrolls. It was used on the 8 Fingers leaders which is what made them so obedient in the after credits scene, they really don't want to go back there.

Not to forget that Ainz, as Momon, asked them why they were going to Nazarick. And when they all stated "Money." he asked them if what they were paid was worth their life and they affirmed that. Basically they gave their consent to be killed because they got paid for it. I have a feeling that if the blonde girl had stated she needed money, Ainz would've understood.

Wasn't it stated that there is a limit how much someone can be healed in certain time frame? Like you can be healed X number of times until you can be healed no longer until some time passes but since you need the heal you will probably die before the time passes? I think it was stated with description of what Lupisregina likes to do to her victims - torture-heal-torture-heal-so on-until you can't be healed no longer and you finally get killed. If that's how it works then i guess it doesn't forbid you from healing the person after the cooldown runs out if they survive to that point.

I have no idea why there are people who think Ains would have allowed them to leave if they had stolen from the small buildings. It's a test alright, but to see whether they are thieves or not. If they had shown proper respect, they might have been guests, but taking even a single gold piece that doesn't belong to you makes you a thief. "I have a feeling that if the blonde girl had stated she needed money, Ainz would've understood." So, you mean that you wouldn't call the police if someone burglarized your house provided that they are homeless and need the money? No, it's absurd. You might give them money if they asked, but you wouldn't let them take your stuff without even asking. From Ains perspective, that's what Arche is doing.

That makes no sense because by your logic they will already deserve death in which case the "Old Guarders" should just auto-spawn and kill them. I think Ainz can recognize that people can be so desperate that even the best person will steal to save their family. He's not utterly inhuman, especially when it doesn't cost him anything. It was obviously a test of their greed. The amount of treasure was utterly insignificant to Nazarick (he probably spent more for the Red Cap mercenary summons to kill Barbaro) although Lupusregina could have killed them all herself instantly. I truly think he would have let them leave if they had just taken it and left, but even after finding more gold than anyone could need, they continued in for more. Also Momon didn't say "They went in" until the Workers entered the center entrance. I think the small mausoleums are more like part of the disguise. I do agree that once they actually entered they were all going to die, and no pleading by Arche would have saved her. A quick death was the best she could hope for.

10:00 This is what Mare was talking about in the finale of season 2 when he said he took the members of the Eight Fingers to Kyouhukou's room... They were eaten from the inside out, healed, repeat.... This is also what Aura meant in the first episode of season 3 when she said that she doesn't like him because his family skitters and crawls into your clothes...

Fighting Ainz is an instant loss, yes, but fighting anyone in Nazarick is also an instant loss. But outside of Sebas and Cocyutus I'd say he's the most likely to mercy kill you, so it's one of the best case scenarios really

Sebas and Cocytus are both good karma but they'd definitely kill you to protect Nazarick, they'd just be quick. Even if you could beat someone from Nazarick, unless it is a summon that they don't care about, you're dead anyway. If you caught one of the homunculus maids out in E-rantel, or the little penguin Éclair Éklair Éklare and killed them, you'd be earning eternal torture for yourself. Defeat anyone created by a Supreme One and not a summon and I can't imagine what would happen to you.

Remember how in pervious episode Ainz asked if money can justify them nearly losing their life, and they all said yes, and the first thing they find in the tomb is enough money to allow them retire for life.

Contrary to what it looks like, Ainz is actually being really benevolent. He asked why the Workers taking this job, and they answered "For Money of course". Ainz stopped asking, and then put a lot of Gold on the outermost side of the tombs for each Workers to take. And should they choose to take it and turn back, Ainz won't pursue them. However, they were blinded by greed decided to keep pressing forward to get more treasures. They deserved what happened to them.

These treasures outside were not gifts. The chests were a test to see if they had come as guests or as thieves. A single gold piece missing and you're no longer a visitor, you're a thief. Ains hates thieves. Parpatra's group didn't enter the tomb proper and they were killed too because they too had already proven to be thieves.

Ainz is fair... As Momon he asked why they were willing to risk their lives by entering the tomb... he got a very disappointing answer.... Even still, he gave them plenty of opportunities to escape.... He intentionally placed gold and valuable artifacts guarded by weak undead *outside*, hoping that they would be satisfied with that and leave.... But once they got *inside*, their fates were sealed.... That stuff Ainz left outside was far more valuable than what they're being paid for the job.... If they would have just stuffed their pockets and left, Ainz would have let them go....

Unfun fact: The ones being eaten alive by the cockroaches didn't actually die, they are kept alive with healing magic to regenerate the meat the cockroaches ate and act as a nest for their offspring, and yes, they are conscious while all of that is being done to them although they lose their mind quite quickly so theres that at least.
