i love zuko in this episode because you can tell he feels sympathy for the girl yet he still stole their animals because his mind is too rooted in selfishness due to his upbringing. I love how he didn't immediately became good as it's more realistic as it slowly takes time and more introspection before he can truly change.

Idk if anyone has made this connection before but maybe King Bumi’s parents are Oma and Shu. Idk if that is what the creators intended but maybe it was backstory to Bumi’s character and where is family is from. Later we see with Toph and how she learned from badger moles, maybe Bumi learned with those in the Mountain where is parents fell in love. I just feel like it would make sense since the whole point of the episode was for them to go Omashu and it happens to be the same destination as King Bumi
