Enter: Gear stats. From what I noticed, as long as you equip an outfit (Top) that increases the time enemies suffer status durations, the striking shadow snake is very useful. Combine that with a quick cool down jutsu like flame bomb and equip an outfit (bottom) that shortens cool down and u actually have a pretty high dps build. Works great for me.

i actually think this dlc was great. the wind breach may be fast and go through walls but it does relatively low dmg to compensate. the striking snake jutsu is good for the knockback, so if an enemy is too close you pop this to knock em back and deal some extra dmg and poison in the process. and his ultimate is great. guarantee's to kill if it hits and travels fast with great tracking. actually a key component to one of my builds. and the sword looks bad ass. still using it as my go to range weapon to this day. and the snake clone is pretty good too. good dmg over time and looks cool

The thing with Orochimarus Multiple Striking Shadow Snake jutsu is that it's not supposed to be used for damage, it's just like Hashiramas Laughing Buddha Hands, it's supposed to be a combo opener. But, understand what you mean with Wind Style: Great Breach that go through walls. that it is a bit of a gamebreaker. Just wanted to point out that specific jutsu. Overall, Orochimaru is useless compared to other rangetypes.

The DLC is honestly better than the Sandaime one. We now have a Ranged attack with actual Range that does decent damage and the sub is solid. It offers range a chance to play an almost sniper role with the howl and ameterasu. PD and the over saturation tof the defence type moveset hurts the game, not the inclusion of a long range jutsu that lets you pick your targets and engage from far like a true ranged type

I think TGN may have a bit of an off conception of what range types do. They do decent damage at once but other than fire ball and flame claw they don't have too many huge damage. When you think about it most jutsu knock them way far away, and apply a lil status effect. They inherently don't really let you follow up and kill somebody, that's attack types

Ive been hit with lariats that changed direction 90 degrees. like i was falling and he charged me in air went over me and dived downward to correct the mistake thats how broken its tracking is. PD is broken 4 obvious reasons. Shark bomb goes through walls. Snake thrust put with any block move like jizo or petrifying make u functionally immortal. 2 healers on any team make killing ANY1 impossible. But yes...wind breach the linear. no tracking move is OP. I feel like u just got wrecked 1 too many times by it and got a lil salty

Well all the other jutsu that goes through walls are on the undisputed best role defense and do a lot more. Shark bomb has homing and resets cool down. Sand shower has 1st initial hit almost always lands and it gives slow debuff. Then there is mitsuki’s jutsu. I think his air attack should do more. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I dislike Great Breach and Reanimation for pretty much exactly what you said, but I feel like Shadow Snake isn't being given the credit it's due. The poison damage really isn't that bad, especially if you also run burning damage; I can't say for sure if the two stack, but I can say I've gotten a few kills in the last few hours on people I either lost track of or had to get away from. Death by status is definitely viable. Shadow Snake is also pretty good for pit kills.

Got no issue with going through walls either kinda awsome if you ask me. Every jutsu has a perk and a con. For example the ultimate water shark it can go through walls and floors but can only go in a line and is very slow and easily avoidable if your not dumb enough to be standing still. Shoot its designed to be a ambush style jutsu and anybody who got hit just aint paying attention. Simple.

I agree with the snake jutsu being useless, it really doesn’t do anything. I actually like the wind breach jutsu for its range and going through walls ability. It’s a surprise/ambush attack to catch the enemy off guard. A new way to play the game. And the Ultimate jutsu is actually really good. The tracking is awesome, it can literally do a U-turn to hit the target you’re reaching for. It’s a sort of planetary devestation for ranged. I’m a little disappointed that we can’t throw snakes at people tho 😂😋

one star damage rating is just not acceptable on the ranged class. they are supposed to kill people. snake hands tracks very well and could be useful, if the damage got buffed. it might actually be worse than itachi's s scarlet flame claw right now. the wind thing needs sand shield piercing and two star damage rating. the ranged type is still the only type with just one sand shield counter. i don't think it's a problem that it ignores geometry though. it's damage is pathetic, so it should have some other utility. shark bomb does the same. i always liked that about that spell. the range isn't an issue either imo. i'm pretty sure it's the same range as fireball, lightning net, clay birds and ink doggies. edo tensei suffers from the same problem that bring down the house does. it's cooldown is much too long. i can't even charge it once in a lot of matches. the clone is also not useful. clay clone is the better option, if you want damage from your clones. direct damage will always be better, as long as cellular extraction strips damage over time. if anything the snake clone should deal more damage than the clay clone, since it deals danage over a longer of time. what annoys me the most, is that the black screen & game crashes are still not fixed. voice chat still randomly activates as well. and where are the balance changes? i'm still using the same jutsu i've been using since launch. oh and the platinum trophy still doesn't trigger on pc -.-

All true. The DoTs in this game do next to no damage when they should do the most overall damage. They have released some balancing patches though. I know lariat, almighty push, and chibaku tenses got slightly nerfed for example with the first one. Flame bombs and partial expansion got buffed in the 2nd one. Etc. Someone had the notes translated from Japanese on KZbin, but I’m not totally sure where they got them. They were accurate though based on my own testing

I diasgree with his abilities being bad, I keep getting double kills reliably with his ultimate. His wind breach ability is awesome too, I use lightning net to set up a target (btw with the last balance patch lightning net reduces defense) and then follow up with the breach ability for some really nice damage. Not even mentioning the number of times multiple people running through the lightning net which gives me a multi hit with great breach as well. I'm sorry, but I enjoy orochimaru's jutsu better than the first two and is a welcome addition to ranged as well. Mind you I never really played ranged a lot before since they felt lacking

Oh buddy, god forbid the ranged have a long ranged jutsu, side stepping it isn't that bad either, I've dodged it by just walking side to side against the enemy. Again, ranged needed the love, it was an underwhelming class. If defense got jutsu that goes through walls including your literal damn arms, then this is hardly a big deal. Btw I'm a healer main not a ranged main and I normally hate the meta for attack types, but as I said ranged needed this love. Great breach isn't as busted as you say.

Hey just a heads up but your todoroki breakdown video is a little misleading/uninformed at 4:22 because, when you use todoroki's ice people can mash buttons and get out of your combo. The only ice move that works in a combo is frost capture and you can only combo into ice stalagmite if they get hit in the air.

I honestly disagree with everything you said here xD From the wall-penetration thing being bad for the game to each of his jutsu being underwhelming or bad...it's funny. To me the poison has been working great, both for prolonged pressure on my enemy (sometimes they panic and get wrecked harder by my allies) as well as for sniping people into pits through cliffs. I think that tactic (wall-clipping jutsu) is 100% fair since everyone has access to it, and in the canon of the series there were plenty of scumbag tactics like that used (even by Naruto himself). Sure, they could have animated wall-decals for when the jutsu penetrated it (as well as some additional effects if possible) but on a purely mechanical level it's fine. All you have to do is keep it in mind, remember which jutsu can do it, and react. As for the ultimate, I don't main Range types but I've gotten a few reliable kills with Orochimaru's ult so far...so I don't really think it's bad. Surely it isn't the "most optimal" jutsu or whatever, but that doesn't make it useless imo. Having his hairstyle is nice too :D

if you get hit by a jutsu that is easy to dodge regardless of it going through a wall then you just didnt dodge it doesnt make the jutsu broken

Great wind breach is really good jutsu but you're right I hate the snake jutsu if it doesnt break anything. I was also devastated to see the reanimation jutsu. But his move set and great wind breach and snake clone are really fun to use.

If you use S rank status ailment with the snake jutsu and anamatsuru. They die with just a couple of hits after! Just a heads up brody

Well because my clothes deal extended ailment damage I use the snakes and flame control and with build, I tend to get more kills then I ever have sometimes I do have to focus on short-range attack with a sword from time to time however i must disagree with you on saying that some jutsu are worthless while others are broken you also have to think of the nature of each jutsu (except sharkbomb I've dodged and subed that ult and it still manages to kill me ) point going its more or less how to use jutsu not how much damage or hitpoints they do sure damage is great but if you can prolong debuffs while chipping health via poison or burn by the time you hit or throw a tool you've knocked out your opponent but ultimately I'm waiting for Tsunade then my heal type will be one of the biggest trolls in the game taking out jutsu then reversing controls I can hear the rage quitters now.

Wish I could play this game more but the PC scene for Shinobi Striker is basically dead. Takes anywhere between 8-12mins to get a match most times.
