TGV, Thalys And Eurostar Trains Blast Past Haute Picardie, France!

During May and June of 2023, I visited the United Kingdom and France on the continent of Europe as part of a multi week family trip that ended up being a blast with us visiting many different places and I really enjoyed it. As part of it, I was also fortunate enough to document a great amount of the intercity railroad operations in both nations capital cities; London for the U.K and Paris for France. This included their subway systems, commuter rails, tourist steam locomotives and even their famous high speed rail system which included a ride on Eurostar between the two cities. Overall it was an incredible trip and definitely some places that I would like to revisit at a later time.

It was Sunday, 5/28/2023, and we were in the midst of a long road trip from Bayeux back to Paris as we decided to go find some WWI historical sites and after that, we decided to go to the Haute Picardie TGV station where the TGV, Eurostar and Thalys trains can travel up to 186 mph (300 KM), it was quite the experience seeing trains blast through there at those speeds. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for very long as about 30 minutes into my visit, I was asked to stop taking photos so after getting dinner, we saw a few more trains at a spot we found along the highway. Overall it was an incredible experience filming some of Europe’s high speed rail as those are the fastest speeds I have ever seen a train reach, definitely a bucket list item checked off.
