TH concert in Portugal is cancelled - Tom apologizes (Eng.)

March 16th 2008 - Lisbon, Portugal.
The concert was cancelled because Bill had a cyst on his vocal cords. This was the band's last appearence on stage before he had surgery.
The following 14 concerts of this European tour were cancelled and some rescheduled later.
Only after waiting one hour and a half inside the venue for the concert to start, we were told it had been cancelled.

I feel so sorry for Bill! I've been to their concert 4 march in The Netherlands and everything looked fine there. It really sucks for the fans! But luckily it's not fully canceled and that they will have the concert 29 June. I really hope he gets better soon =( And it was really nice of Tom, gustav & Georg to come on stage and tell the fans.

I was there! We knew that Bill was sick (probably flu) at the previous concert (14-03-08) in Marseille (if I'm not wrong) he was unable to sing the latest songs. We didn't know he was worst and the problem was so serious. I can assure you that was a great, great shock ... I was more than 8 hours in a queue waiting to see a expected concert (some fans asleep on the door for 2 days) and when we thought that was the time to the group begins to act, they come on stage and give us that news....

That shriek of horror once you all were told that Bill was sick. I remember watching this years ago after we got the news on the THA Fanclub forum. How heartbreaking. I'm just happy that the surgery ended up going well and that the boys were able to return to you guys.

AW BILL I REALLY HOPE YOU GET BETTER SOON!!! I LOST MY VOICE TOO IT HURT LIKE HELL AND BACK, THE DOCTOR SAID IT WAS REALLY SEVERE!! But it wasn't laryngitis. I think. It lasted for two weeks (I didn't lose my voice for two weeks, just inflamed for two weeks) BUT IT HURT LIKE HEEEEELL!!!!! I feel soo bad for everyone there I mean imagine if some girls weren't going to be there the 29th I mean sometimes meeting Rockstars are a once in a life time chance i would have been crying I mean I met them already and for me to have to listen that there's no concert would have been horrible they are so strong but Tokio hotel has the best fans so I now we would forgive them ♥ :D I feel soo bad for them though hopefully everything went alright again in the next concert :)

Having to announce the cancellation to the fans was one thing, but at the time they had no idea what was wrong with Bill. They tell the fans,''We'll definitely be here on June 29th'',but in truth they had no certainty that they would. At that point they were probably just wondering if there were ever even going to BE a next time.. It must have been very hard on all of them. They said later that for awhile they thought the whole thing could be over just like that.. Scary when that's your life.

i remember this, i had the tickets but i couldn't go to the concert so my brother went with his girlfriend. i was like crying at home and like and hour after leaving they came back and he was like "bill was sick and the concert was cancelled" i was worried but i was so happy at the same time, after that i went to the concert and it was awesome

I am a Portuguese fan of TH. The portuguese concert was cancel. Because Bill Kaulitz lost his voice. I am not mad or disapointed because will be another concert, probably will have news songs. A big hug, a lot of kisses, get well soon and a good recovery Bill Kaulitz, soon your voice will be back just rest, don´t forget your health is the first priority. Without forget the other members of the band, of course, a big kiss, a lot of hugs to Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Shaffer.

Damn this was all... ackward to watch! I know this happened like 2-3 years ago but still, you can't help but feel sorry for the guys when they had to come on stage to tell their fans that the show was cancelled, even though some waited hours or days for it! If I was there I'll be fricken confused on what was happening and yelling at everyone else to "shut up so I can hear!" I even fealt a lump in my throat for watching this!!!

Parece-me de uma falta de profissionalismo tremenda terem cancelado o concerto à própria da hora. Com certeza, a laringite do vocalista não surgiu minutos antes da hora marcada e é indecente que aqueles milhares de fãs fossem informados já depois de estarem dentro do Pavilhão Atlântico. Não estou a criticar a banda em si, mas parece-me que houve alguma incúria da parte deles.
