You're in luck! There is currently a Black Friday special valid only through November 20, 2022 -- when you buy any Rig Library (like that Choptones pack you mentioned) you'll get TH-U Essentials free, which is a "light" version of TH-U that will let you play the pack and a few other amps/effects. www.ilio.com/products/overloud/thu-guitar-effects/rig-libraries

@@ilio_official really? is the zeppelin 1 choptones included i. the sale?

@@eross21 Unfortunately we don't offer that particular pack on our site, but here is an option for you: 1. Purchase a low cost version of TH-U (TH-U Rock guy is on sale for just $29 during Black Friday, and comes with the Rig Player): www.ilio.com/thu-rockguy-pack 2. Purchase the Zeppelin Pack from Choptones on their site. Following the above steps would be a very low cost way to start using TH-U on desktop!

Love THU, but I actually only use the Rig Player and FX. I use none of the modelled amps. I guess because I also own a Kemper and prefer the "rig capture" approach.

Same. Their amps are about as good as anyone else's but their rig player is what sets them apart.

I used to like their algorithm amps until I tried their Kemper style amps with IRs. I no longer use anything else than rig player.

@@gonebymidnight2881 if they had been able to Kemper to work with their profiles and maybe their profiles to work on Kempers unit it would've been a big deal. I guess Kemper ended up passing on the deal though. Their rig player profiles are great.

how do you know that in their amp modelling, THU is NOT using the rig capture approach?
@SaintKines2 жыл бұрын
@@philosopher1276 I don't. I assume they don't because of the nature of the profiles and the emulated amps. Or at least as I understand them. The rig player is literally just a plugin within a plugin that utilizes Kemper type profiles. So you have an amp folder with a wide range of usable profiles. I would think if their amp models were the same thing they would make that more known and maybe not have both. I'll have to look more into it though. It could all be my imagination but I personally wasn't overly blown away by the amps, which I tried first. I didn't even know what the rig player was yet. When I started playing around with the RP I felt like it stood out in quality over ALL of the ampisms and cabisms I've played with. I'm not sure I can say it's the absolute best but if I was forced to try and pick a "best" the rig player would be one of the first candidates I would consider.
