Well u will now need a fireball of level 24 for a 6 tile range. Earlier u could get nearly same value with lvl 18 fireball. Nerfs are more focused for hard mode wars which pros play, as there is equipment level limit in hard mode. For us casual players it won’t change much.

Who said they won’t pair well with spiky. Nerfs would mostly affect pro players who play hard mode as they have equipment level limit. If u have high level equipment, then you are good.

That’s because the earthquake boots take 60% of building hp instead of the 40% hp they will be taking after nerf. Even with lvl 27 spiky ball the scattershot, ricochet cannon, and double supercharged multi-archer tower can now live through the combo.

earthquake boots is still useful for open up the walls. But since the combo is no longer taking down some defense with one shot, maybe changing spiky ball to Gaunlet is another choice, and if you rage to the Gaunlet king, the damage that king do might be similar to the rage vial + gaunlet

At level 24 it will keep the radius. This nerf only applies to hardmode. The only issue is they made it a lot more expensive to reach the radius buff.
