True, but M3GAN's narrow interpretation leads her to feel her inflicting pain on others is sanctioned. She "protected" Cady by killing the K4R3N and in the climax thinks that lobotomizing a person isn't a violation of the "no inflicting pain, no killing" rule. The problem is that making a robot defend others against pain could result in pain. Telling a robot simply to not hurt humans is less likely to result in loopholes.

About the cross thing: Yeah, crucifixion does predate the death of Jesus, but the ankh is a much, much older symbol and has nothing to do with Christianity on its own at first. It would make sense for Christians to coopt the cross given the religion has foundations in persecution so taking the bad thing and using it is as a good symbol is just what they'd do. It's a distinct, easy to make symbol. They didn't borrow the ankh, but when Christianity came to Egypt and formed Coptic Christianity (approximately 42 AD) the ankh and the cross became the same symbol because both had at that point well entrenched meanings about life everlasting. It's called syncretism and it happens all the time either deliberately or naturally. It's why the Roman gods are basically copied Greek homework. The Christians didn't steal the ankh to use as their own symbol. When fundamental story is about how your founder and messiah gets nailed to a cross, you might adopt that symbol as its a core component of your faith.

I would be upset if the opening logos weren't there. Imagine this. You're talking to your friend while waiting for the movie to start. The lights go down while you are mid sentence. The movie cold opens, and you have to quickly shut up and end without finishing that sentence. Niw you and your friend have an unfinished convo in the back of your mind that distracts from the movie or you finish and miss the initial setup while annoying other moviegoers.
