If you are thinking of building a boat blind. I build a removable one that uses the “T” connectors you’d use for a chain link fence piping. It should fit the round gunnel rather well and it uses a bolt to clamp down and tighten onto it. No drilling needed to attach to boat. After that it’s what ever fits your fancy. Mine turned into an “A” frame style that had shooting doors that would pop open along the length of the boat. When driving id just open the doors and the side panel for the blind would be about shoulder height so I could still see over it.

Well done! I remember you saying that you had a welder/mig.Why don't you use it instead of the rivets ?

Because most people can’t weld and we’re trying to show people how to build a boat without welding

@@TinyBoatNation would you weld everything if could over riveting ???

QQQ - a lot of other boat build videos, the builders say you MUST use sikaflex or similar between every joint and every rivet to stop vibrations, what is the TBN view on this please. Thanks from Australia

That’s absolutely nonsense. Nobody used that stuff, or even a similar practice down here and the boat doesn’t vibrate any different.

Why did you overlap multiple 90 degree aluminum pieces instead of using aluminum u channel? Great video, just curious about your choice.
