Gotta love when old games randomly have menus with higher resolution than anything else in the console.
@fumoffu_l9 ай бұрын
That's typically because menus are flat pixel art (but of course not always). So you end up with N64 3D graphics for the game, and then you get really nice pixel art that looks better than anything the SNES could ever do for the menus.

I'm no golfer or golf fan, but I have played a little when I was younger and visited St Andrews once. It's a gorgeous place irl, not like this drab, samey and pixelated mess. Despite whatever issues and reservations we may have about the game, a nicely sculpted natural golf course is like a very civilised park you'd find on some utopia world in Star Trek or something. I absolutely get the aesthetic appreciation. It's more just the types of privileged and dodgy business people the game mainly attracts, but it is nice to have a relaxed, fun knock about and you get a real satisfaction from a clean hit that goes roughly where you aimed it.
