वाह इस गीत में मीना जी कितनी जवान और सुंदर लग रहीं हैं।पाकीज़ा को पूर्ण होने में 15 साल लग गए थे।यह गाना फ़िल्म के शरूवाती दिनों में फिल्माया गया रहा होगा।पाकीजा के कुछ गाने 14 वें या 15 वें बरस में फिल्माए गए होंगे। (1)चलो दिलदार चलो चाँद के पार चलो (2) मौसम है आशिकाना,ए दिल कहीं से उनको ऐसे में ढूढ लाना । (3)आज हम अपनी मुहब्बत का असर देखेंगे, दर्दे- जिगर देखेंगे,जखमें जिगर देखेगे।ये तीनो गाने फ़िल्म के आखिरी सालों में फिल्माए गए होंगे।15 साल बाद की मीना उस मीना से बिलकुल अलग दिखती है जब वह युवा थीं।एक ही साथ दोनो रूपों को देखकर मन बहुत कचोट उठता है।कितना फ़र्क़ आ गया है । एक मे चेहरा ताज़े फूल की तरह दमक रहा है,दूसरे में चेहरा मुरझाये फूल की तरह फीका पड़ गया है।जैसे कोई फूल झड़ने से पहले कुम्हलाय जाता है।यह फ़िल्म मुझे मेरे जवानी के दिनों में इतनी प्रिय थी कि अगर किसी पिक्चर हाल में यह फ़िल्म चल रही हो तो किसी अन्य नयी फ़िल्म की जगह इसे ही देख कर सुकून पाता था।मुगले आज़म और पाकीज़ा फ़िल्म दोनो ही "मुस्लिम-कला" का अनमोल शाहकार है, जिसे आजतक कोई तोड़ नहीं पाया है। सलाम है के. आशिफ साहब और कमाल अमरोही साहब को । हमारे भारत के मुसलमान अन्य देशों के मुसलमानों को हर क्षेत्र में पीछे छोड़ कर अपनी सर्वश्रेठता साबित करें।जैसे भारत जगत गुरु है वैसे ही मुसलमान भाई भारत माता की कोख को अपने योगदान से धन्य करें और विश्व के मुस्लिम-समुदाय में सर्वश्रेठ मुसलमान होने का दर्जा हासिल करें,मुझे इस बात से बहुत खुशी होगी।मैं एक हिन्दू हूँ पर मेरे प्राइमरी शिक्षा के पहले गुरु एक मुस्लिम थे जिन्हें हम "मौलवी साहब" कह कर बुलाते थे।उनकी अमिट छाप मेरी चेतना में आज तक जीवित है।

The songs with Hindustani classical base were heart-warming and ethereal; Lataji, the lead singer was the soul of the entire music score of Pakeezah! Ghulam Mohammed born and brought up in Rajasthan had embedded strains of Rajasthani music into these songs and made them everlasting!
