This is similar to the way many traditional arts generate power in punches, (although in a different manner), by moving the body forward, rather than twisting at the waist, in order to put body-weight behind the strike.

I recall watching footage of Muhammad Ali shadow boxing without gloves on. He used that same “loose fist” when he punched. It seemed at times that he was punching with his hands open. It makes since now, thanks!

This will sound strange but his body moving forwards like that reminds me more of how karate guys throw a right, launching forwards so its the body weight and movement generating huge amounts of force behind the arm instead of the more western boxing style of generating force from planting the back foot and twisting the hip. I dont know if that description will make sense to anyone else tho lol I am also totally in awe of how little movement these master strikers use to generate power and how well they conserve energy by staying relaxed, its really high level.

Yeah, even if you do Muay Thai, but your base is Boxing, you´ll feel this is kinda unorthodox way of throwing the right. I´m so used to throwing it boxing style, never thought about this… gonna give it a try.

Could this gentleman's upper body leaning in be combined with (1) kyokushin central axis hip swing (which Sylvie mentions he does not do) or (2) Kimura, Shukokai "double hip," pivoting about the opposite non punch side hip, so that the punch side of the body slams closed like a door, I wonder.
