The "Chupak" fruit is called "Chempedak" here in Malaysia. The best tasting type is the golden red "Honey Chempedak". "Chempedak" seeds are edible by boiling in hot water. "Chempedak" is more aromatic than Jackfruit. Sometimes, Jackfruit can cause bad stomach upset.

Watching your life reminds me of my experience living and meeting my husband in Belize. I gave birth to our 1st child in the dense jungle region, Toledo district. We are in the states right now as my husband is working here. We hope to return to Belize soon. You’ve inspired me to perhaps document our lives there as well… we’ll see! I agree it’s very cruel. I live in west Texas border line with the state of New Mexico and although illegal, cockfighting happens here too especially in the rural areas. I’ve also heard of dogfighting. How sad what these animals go through.
