I think this video sugar coats the topic quite a bit. The fact is on Thai dating sites most of the women are looking for foreigners because they have money and can offer them a better life. This should not be a surprise to anyone. Also sometimes highly educated Thai women are also looking for money even if they have a job because they might be in debt or they want to pay off a family member's debt. I know this from personal experience. Most Thai women actually prefer Thai men because of common culture, language, etc. And the smaller percentage that are looking for a farang it's for a better quality of life.

This is no different from why 70-80% of women won't date someone shorter. Women tends to date and mate horizontally. Another reason you don't hear much about is infidelity among Thai men. What I want to point out from what you said and caution others about is that if a Thai woman wants money to pay off a family member's debt, that is a gigantic red flag. This is not normal from what you would considered a "good" Thai partner.

That was too generic for my taste. I miss the Thai flavor, that could have been anywhere in the world. Your girl seems nice but she is a bit shy to bring certain truths. As a suggestion, ask someone not close to you that can be more free and open with answering. For instance I miss her position towards supporting her parents, her long term views, her idea for retirement etc. Despite my critique I still enjoy to see your story, from your perspective.

Average ones: can meet at malls, parks, dating apps etc. Very sweet too. "rich" ones: "study abroad uni/ international schools" but usually only date guys from same social status so don't even think about it. Speaks fluent english and has a different personality from ur average thai girl because of the way we were raised. The below "average" (I don't want to be mean here but hey): technically so easy to pick. Likes foreigners cuz obvi money. Usually came to bkk for work so mostly esan (oops). The "gold diggers": you can tell. Usually they're from the "below average" class. Thai girl here, we're the "girls" girl so whether its our friends, our fams, our partners we would be very caring and supportive. I notieced my comment is offensive but its reality.

She speaks good English for being a local. I did not have problems meeting Thai girls in the US, many of them were not US citizens, some were, many had university degrees. I had just as many Hispanic and White girls too, then one day I realized, I must be one lucky SOB or I am just an attractive guy. I still get hit on by women twice age so don't tell my wife, she don't mind the older women hitting on me, she brags to friends anyways but she does not take it well with the younger ones. You want to meet a nice Thai girl, got to the north west region of Thailand and meet a school teacher or farmer. They will humble you brother, this bachelor pad life will get you in trouble, take it from me. I did this in large metro city in the US, it was fun, wild and crazy, it can only last so long.
