G'Day Kevin Yes, we'll keep uploading to KZbin. The Patreon only videos will essentially be the ones where KZbin have decided that the advertising revenue must go to the copyright owners of commercial music that may be playing in the background of our video. I'm not even sure that there will be a Patreon only video every month. We'll just have to see how it pans out. Thanks for sticking with us. Brad & Ta

Reason I love Thailand: I spent 12 months at the Royal Thai air force base in Korat Thailand in the 388 Tac. fighter wing during the Vietnam war. During my non flight time I got to spend my free time with the Thai people. Much of my off time I spent with the Thai children practicing their English. I also made many trips into the country side to meet with the farmers and their children. I fell in love with the Thai people and their culture. Thailand will always hold a special place in my heart. I truly love the videos you and Ta produce, they keep my connected. Thanks for sharing them with me and your 20.6k+ other viewers.💖👍✔

I like watching your videos for the frank presentation. Ta's easygoing and open attitude is also very contagious. We feel good in good environment and when both your happy faces appeared, I just smiled along. Feel Good! Aside from your channel, I also watch a few others from Thailand. Most make me feel good and nostalgic of the good old days b4 we "progressed" making a lot of adjustments which gets more stressful by the day. I had been to Bangkok and many trips to southern Thailand before and enjoyed the time spent there. I also have a few Thai friends whom I occasionally connect. You're a lucky man who was able to be employed in a foreign land while you pursued your love life. Blessings to you both! Hope you'll be able to show us about your work life and other happenings in your environment apart from the regular market tours. It may be interesting to learn from your experience and your plans for the future. Sincere blessings to you both and your families.

Umm what were the questions again? lol 1) Favorite Thai food is grapow gai. (Thai basil chicken) 2) I have been traveling to Thailand several times a year for nearly 8 years to visit my lovely Thai wife Noi. 3)I really enjoyed the videos you did about helping the soy dogs. Also, the Ta teaching Thai videos were informative and hilarious. I'd like to see more of those sort of videos. And a live stream every now and then could be good. I would definitely pay a dollar to watch a video with commercial music in it.

1) breakfast, I normally don't eat it, but if I do I like to have bacon, eggs and toast. 2) I'm 46 and I'm looking at Thailand as a place to visit when I retire. So I use your videos as research, to learn as much as I can about Thailand. 3) I've had pad Thai but nothing other than that. I've watched so many videos of street food in Thailand and it all looks great. I love seeing videos of the Thai countryside, such beautiful scenery.

Being married to a Thai lady so 14 trips since 2009. Most of the time spent up in Don Meang where her mother lives. Got to say I get spoiled there as her cooking is fantastic but I still can't stomach a Thai style breakfast early in the morning! But like most farangs I enjoy the simple foods she prapares.... Pad Thai, pad krapow and her superb green and red curries. As for the content in your vlogs... Well, I'm a subscriber mainly because of the content you already provide. Which is great. I especially enjoy your vlogs on the schoolkids end of year graduations and any local Thai festivals that may be happening. Keep up the good work Brad. Best wishes to you and Ta.

I first came to Thailand in 1999, I was on a study tour with a Thai theatre company and as a result had the good fortune of meeting many Thai people and not just hanging out in tourist attractions. I fell in love with the Thai people and have come back around 14 times since then, and am looking to retire in Thailand so have been watching videos like yours to see how farang are living in Thailand. I'm currently having a year off work and living in Chiang Mai to test my retirement plans. It is impossible to pick on Thai food but I like pad kropao, Gai pad King, kaho soi, som tam, and continue to discover things.

I have lived in China for ~8 years and have visited Thailand quite a few times. Due to the inability to obtain a permanent residency visa in China upon retirement, I anticipate moving to Thailand permanently and traveling between TH and CN and exploring the surrounding regions as well. I love the people and culture in both countries and plan to continue to explore and learn more about both cultures. I choose to follow a whole food plant-based (no oil) regimen, so I like to cook and love to visit the wet markets and learn the local recipes, which I modify slightly to eliminate the use of oil.

Hey Brad & Ta. I think my reasoning personally! For watching your vloggs/videos about Thailand! Is quite simply the Thai Culture!😊 Experiencing a beautiful country, through both yours(brad) & Ta's eyes! The Camera lens. & Ta being of Thai origin! Enables us as viewers, the ability to have a better understanding! & A appreciation of the land of smiles!😀 The people are respectful! The country is beautiful! & Unlike in most of the western civilization! They are happy & make the most of what they have in life! I wish you both continued success on your channel! & I wish you enough In both your Thai Lives! Health & happiness going forward Brad & Ta into 2020! My best wishes! & Kind regards! Good questions. I have more than one favorite Thai meals, but the simplest are the best. I will never forget ordering my first meal in there for breakfast. I think it's called the grapow moo prik (spicy pork with basil) served over rice and topped with a fried egg. Delicious. I went to Thailand the first time to explore retirement options. I ended up falling in love with my (now) wife Nun, her family and the country in general (warts and all). For additional content, I still think that a "Stretch and Brad's Awesome Thai Adventures" series would be a hit! Seriously, all up to you two. I just love getting my Thai fix here between trips home. I would certainly try the Patreon idea. If you find it's not working, you can always reconsider. Great video and I am looking forward to seeing you both soon.

Hi from New Zealand, 1. Breakfast here is coffee and toast, in Thailand is Patongko and coffee :) 2. Married to my Thai wife for 5 years, together for 10 years. Have been to Thailand every year since we've been together. We both still live in New Zealand so watching makes us not miss Thailand so much :( wish we could move over for good but not quite yet. 3. Favourite Thai food is Pad Thai Gai and Kapow Gai Kaidow :) Love to watch market videos and when you go up country, our house is in a small village outside of Ubon Ratchathani so anything village related is always watched. Your hotel reviews are always a favourite too as we like to vary our stays when we come to Bangkok before we go home to the village. 4, I don't think a dollar is out of the question, My wife has recently started her own youtube channel which I edit and even her simple videos are time consuming to edit so I couldn't imagine trying to edit background music out of them :) Keep up the good work, can't wait to get back there in March.

For breakfast all the different fruits mostly rabuton, mangosteen and durian. For a dollar a month on patron: I’m definitely in. I don’t pay for cable because nothing on it is nearly worth even a dollar a month. As far as content goes I’m really into the culture with the exception of the nightlife. There are lots of channels on the night life and they don’t interest me. You might consider meeting subscribers once a month at a designated place and time. I would love to visit you two but have a hard time scheduling. I plan on marring my Thai fiancé next December in Maha Sarakham and retire there in a few years. Love to you both and keep on vlogging. I will retire to Thailand when my responsibilities in the US end

Hi Brad and Ta, always great to see you on here. I'm always watching and "Liking" your videos, just haven't had a lot of extra time lately and haven't commented. When I'm in Thailand, for breakfast I like the omelets, like you, and also I could eat sticky rice with mangos anytime of the day, lol. I've been to Thailand three times and will be there my fourth time in March of 2020, and this time my wife will be joining me for a few days! One of my very favorite meals is basil fried rice, and another are the fresh water river prawns, grilled. I have also had them at Central World baked with cheese on top which were very good! I love all your videos so I can't think of anything you need to do differently, but I do like the idea of subscribing on Patreon for $1.00 a month for a video here and there! I think that's a great idea! In closing, I hope I can get a chance to meet up with the two of you again in Bangkok. I will be there a few different times on my upcoming trip to SE Asia, and would love to bring the two of you a couple more t-shirts from Oregon. Best wishes to the two of you!

My Thai wife and I have been married for 46 years. We were married when I was in the military and stationed at Udon Thani RTAF Base in 1973 during the Vietnam war. We lived in Pennsylvania for 40 years and Raised two children. A son and a daughter. We put them through college and they are married with children of their own. I was a University IT manager when I retired and my Thai wife worked for a medical care company where she built medical equipment. We moved to Thailand after retirement and built our retirement home here in Thailand. We get together regularly with other expatriates that are married to a Thai lady. Our kids grew up eating Thai food that we purchased at the import stores in Pittsburgh and they now cook Thai food for their families.

First trip to Thailand was a 1988 I have been probably 35 times Longest stay was six months met a girl and we rode from Laos to Singapore and back up to Phuket on a tandem bicycle pulling 80lbs of camping gear in the year 2000 pre tsunami. We live in America have been married almost 20 years, fav Thai dish Khao Kha Moo, Khao Man Gai and a Pepsi. Build house two years ago up country bought and paid for looking to retire in 2020. My next trip to Udon starts in one week. Look forward to the next chapter in our lives. Just found your channel last week. My question to you and your followers is how many words can you speak in Thai. I’ll start my Thai consists of about 400 words thought I was doing pretty good then released the locals in Issan speak their own dialect and I’ve only learned about 25 words so far and I don’t think my wife wants me to learn. Give me one year and we’ll see about that. Hasta la vista Muchacho’s from SoCal with a smile. We’ll be seeing you guys sooner or later.

Brad&Ta, Thanks for video :-) ,,on your question: Me not been to Thailand, and second part you asked what draw to find your(and other) 'thai-youTube-channels' : .. ..Fascinating country, shiny and beautiful women, and overall happy people it seems. And last part perhaps also, it gives a little relaxing impression of not having too much of our western bigFinancialCapital and the sometimes accompanied ego pattern. (..reading as a ' positive ' constructive critique , not meaning to one-track-belittle our western-culture and people.) --br, from europe/norway 51 year young-man. ,,Thanks again /back to watching more video.

I'm hitting 50 next year, from NYC from 8 years old via England, was born in Guyana left for England around 3 years old. Trying to figure out where to live in the world at my retirement age of 57. Single, 2 grown kids, rides a motorcycle, plays drums and guitar, gym, have an office job (tableau, maybe this can be digital nomads job?) with about 30 years at the same company at 57. 😁

I have been to Thailand many times, may be more than 20 times. Thailand is a friendly country with a lot of facilities for tourists. Although there are few bad things are visible too earlier, especially, prostitution in the form of message parlors but now this is quite less visible. Due to huge influx of tourists, the Thai people started to develop some stereotyped habits but still this place has a magic, soft image, good vibes that force the visitor to come back and visit again. You feel that from the last visit you missed something and you wanted to come again to see the missing thing but that is a cycle, you keep on coming back. Now due to good financial activities and development of industry, the stereotype image of Thailand is changing and so the behavior of general Thai public is also changing positively.

I spent a 3 months in Thailand in the early 70’s and couple of months in 79 have gone back several times over the years, as late as 2018 last visit. The 70’s was the absolute best, the population increase is unbelievable the villages are now cities, the food is still great but commercialization has taken over food not as flavourful and of course the population is much fatter, just like me. The saddest part is the pollution of the canals, no proper sewage systems and the streets are more filthy than 47 years ago.

I come to Thailand since 2002, twice a year and I still love it. I stopped going to Phuket, Samui and Bangkok 9 years ago. Now I like Chiang Mai, Krabi, koh Chang and some quiet islands like Koh Lanta or Koh Lipe. My favourite dishes are everything sweet and souer, like white snapper. Also fried noodles, not to spicy 55555. And ofcourse sticky rice with sweet mango and the pancakes sold at the food stalls. Planning to retire in Thailand in 1 or 2 years together with my youngest brother and his Thai husband. I had 3 different Thai GF over the years, but now happily single 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

So you are asking why we watch your vlog ? well i can answer for myself.. i have been coming to Thailand for the past 15 years and do business with some manufactures in Bangkok and i do miss Bangkok when i am at home in Los Angeles its like Thailand is my home away from home, when i am in Thailand i always say to my Thai partners one day i will move over most likely to Koh Chang where i do have a home but for now both places hold a place in my heart ! and when i watch your vlogs and good spiritted conversations it reminds me of my friends abroad that i am missing,,, if that makes any sense...

I have been living in Thailand since 2005. I first started coming to Thailand twice a year for 30+ days in 2002. I purchased a condo in Bangkok in 2006 and it was my place of residence between 2006 and 2011. After three years of full-time Bangkok city life, I wanted some relief from the city so I went south and purchase a condo in Jomtien/Pattaya, Thailand. Between 2005 and 2008, I was still working and spent about six months of the year in Thailand. Between 2008 and the present I spend about 8 months of the year in Thailand. I am never in Thailand for more than 80 days and mostly I am here 60 to 70 days at a stretch. I was a University Professor for 40 years and fully retired in June 2009. My home of residence is in Pittsburg, California, which is northeast of San Francisco Bay. Why Thailand, first many of my friends from San Francisco moved here when they retired, the Thai culture is very open and accepting, I enjoy the weather, San Francisco can get very cold year-round. I enjoy the food and the Buddhist flavor that the Thai people actively support in their culture. The Thai culture is "somewhat" open and accepting of Gay people so I find it very comfortable to live here. I enjoy your videos because I get to see another side of Thai life that I find interesting and educational. Keep doing what you are doing, I enjoy watching very much. I have been on a Thai retirement visa since 2006 and will continue to retire in Thailand until my age does not allow me to be very active. I am 75 now and I think I will have 10 more good years ahead of me.

I’ve never been to Thailand YET. I am looking forward to a relaxed retirement that is affordable in a beautiful place. As for food video ideas 🤔. I’ve been warned by some to not rely too much on street food due to potential sanitary issues. I hear food in food courts of malls is cheap and way more sanitary. Maybe a video comparing quicker meal options. Of course restaurant reviews options would be interesting too. 👍🏽

In the 80s, there was only one shopping center on Silom. BTS didnt exist. In the 80s, there were two lines of BTS. I have heard that there are many more lines of BTS in Bangkok. I also heard that they are working on a new line to Korat. I admire what they have done on this infrastructure to move people around.
