This should be a wake up call for the Philippines to trust the local coaches instead of the foreign coach. No one will love our athletes better than the local coach who puts his full trust to his players. Of course with the exemption of coach Bundit. Coach Meneses and coach Macatangay is a great tandem. Please, let them do their job properly, with their heart and expertise at stake

I disagree. The team showed improvements comparing it from previous tournaments. Lumalapit na yung laruan nila kontra sa magagaling na kalaban. Thailand is one of the best in the WORLD. I repeat, The World. Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling yung argumento na dapat local coach na lang na para bang matatalo natin ang Thailand kung local coach. No, it will take a few more years. Right direction to hire foreign coaches who knows the international game so there will be a transfer of system.

Kahit 10-20 years pa yan i develop di na yan magbabago. Kahit saan mo pa i train yan. Ang problema ng Pilipinang manlalaro ay pag-uugali. Malimit mga coaches pa ang nag-aadjust. Kasi karamihan ng mga Pinay na manlalaro feeling "entitled".

@@mobaili3770 yes. correct. actually they already have the skills. kulang sa kanila, winning mindset. yong confidence nila, pag dalhin na sa ibang bansa, minus 50% na agad. di pa nga nagsisimula ang game, ngatog na tuhod nila. magaling sila. kulang sa tapang. dapat mey bukod sila na motivational coach. very tentative kasi sila. parang playing safe. wala iyong gigil na manalo. am baba ng fighting spirit. besides, ang galing nung TTT Thuy ng vietnam. grabeh unstoppable. nahirapan talaga ang thailand. bawat palo, parang bala ang bilis. puntos agad. pero di rin napasindak ang thailand. kalmate lang. mey pressure pero they still manage to overcome vietnam. parang laban ng determination vs resilient. matyaga ang mga thailander. cguro dahil mabibigat na rin nakalaban nila.

Philippines team needs consistency. Continous training not only when the competition is near but starts the training 3 years before SEA Games tapos magsama kayo ng mga High school pa lang na magtraining magrecruit kayo ng mga galing sa palarong bansa o kaya sa mga rwgional meet para bata pa lang nahahasa na. Alam ko maraming matatangkad na magagaling na players hindi lang nadisiakubre pa kasi naasa lang tayo sa UAAP. Pero naniniwala ako na kapag bata mo pa lang itrain baka may pang Olympics na tayo. Wag papalit palit ng players, magdadagdag ng bago Oo yan. Wake up call sa Sports commission at liga ng volleyball sa Pinas. Sana wala ng pulitika. Bansa at atleta muna bago pansariling interes. Ganda sana ng laro ng pinas nung first set, yung quick plays nila Domingo at Nunag, ang problema di pa rin nawala yung service errors ni Paat at Nunag. Also, walang consistency. Pag nalamangan lang kunti antatamlay na kagad ng players, o kaya natataranta na o kaya ambibigat na ng paa at di na makahabol sa bola, unlike Thailand na kahit nagkakamali sila o malamangan man andun pa rin energy, nakakabawi agad. Antagal na rin ng volleyball sa Pinas, pero malayo pa bago makilala internationally, kahit sa South East Asia man lang.

I agree 💯 just keep this team. Seems like it's a good roster. The mental maturity in international games still need to be honed. The talent is there. The team know each other's moves better. Just maturity as a team and faster recovery/adjustments will make them improve. Don't listen to the bashers. Any loss, bashers will find a scapegoat. 😅

The first set was really good! The Philippines had the chance to beat Thailand 😱. With more consistency, familiarity which can only be achieved by prolonged training I think that the Philippines will reach higher potential. Good reception is also important so that the setter will have more varieties of sets meaning more different types of attacks. Dont ever lose hope! Keep your eyes on the ball! 🎉🇵🇭. Faster plays. 2nd set thai sets used there faster sets especially on those rallies. 3rd set there were heaps of errors from philippines on the service line. Proud of you PWVT.
