As tragic as the tale of Bridge 277 is it was just one of many on the Death Railway. Looks like you had lots of fun despite the sombre history. I hope your ears have recovered from the battering they took from the train announcers.

A beautiful trip , but with sad memories of brutality and starvation and the bravery of those incredible man both those who died and those who survived . The waterfall look truly beautiful . A great video well done Jim

Yes Michael thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Lots of sad memories when you think about the history, japs were brutal with their treatment to the POW's. I can highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Thailand. As always thanks for the support and best wishes my friend! Jim

You state that 7,000 POWs died on the Thai Burma Railway. Australian sources put the death toll as 16,000 POWs and 90,000 Asian labourers.
