The first order of business, when I returned from Thailand was to order a bidet toilet seat off of Amazon. The best decision I ever made and I highly recommend it.

I installed them on both my toilets. Sold as a hand held bidet or diaper washer. Very easy to install. Goes between your input hose from the wall and the toilet fitting. 2 adjustable wrenches and a towel to catch the water from the dripping hose.

Wife and I have add-on bidets on all our toilets. Use maybe 1 roll per toilet per month - just to dry. Greatest thing since sliced bread.

The reason Soda Water is so popular is due to the Thai drinking culture, when a group of friends get together at a bar or restaurant they don't all order separate drinks - it is far more normal that the group will buy a bottle of Alcohol and all share it - Scotch (Black Label if you are flash, Red label at a push) - Thai's love Scotch - ThaiBev owns distilleries in Scotland.

Since coming to Thailand, I now use the shower on full force at home, it is much cleaner, no skid marks in your pants. A toilet roll lasts me 2 to 3 months, mainly for blowing my nose. Environmentally it is far better the sewage companies don't have to recycle all that paper and maybe they can stop dumping all the untreated sewage into our rivers.

Hi Rob. You did talk about bum guns in your video. In Finland people wipe the you know place with paper first and then they will use the bum gun.I know that it is a strange combination of Western and Asian toilet routine,but i do like that too and yes we have many different kinds of toilet papers in here. Did you know that we can also buy Singha,Leo and Chang beers from so many different grocery stores in Finland and yes those companies soda waters are also available here and those beverages are also in many Thai stores in here.

Chang was new comer to beer market in Thailand in 1999 cooperated with Danish Carlsberg beer in order to complete with the major dominated Thai beer market ie, Singha (selling price around 50-60 baht/bottle that time). Chang came with a big marketing campaign selling 3 bottles of Chang for 100 baht and with a strong distributer network (Look at the business of the founder Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi ).Boon Rawd Brewery did not want to use Singha name complete in the price war with Chang due to their well built reputation to serve upper-middle and Hight-end market. Leo then turned up to complete with Chang and the price war started, Leo 3 bottles for a 100. Another one, Thai bar girls do not drink beer while working because drinking beer can cause them gaining weight and belly fat, (consider number of glasses they would have drunk per day).

Soda and tonic are totally different.tonic has a higher sugar content than even Coca Cola and has Quinine which supposedly repels mosquitos. Soda is either just CO2 infused or sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate added in Club Soda

I’ve been telling people for 30 years that toilet paper is the worse way to clean yourself, I’ve managed to convert 2 people in that time, crazy I know. Leo beer has always been produced by Boon Rawd Brewery, the same brewery that produces Singha, I read about the history of Leo (which is short for leopard unlike what I was told by a Thai person) while in Chiang Mai. If I’m wrong I would definitely like to know. Thanks for sharing 🍻

Definitely cleaner with a bum gun. In rural areas I have fund the dump method mostly with the broken bum gun on the wall beside it. LOL... But you failed to mention the pit toilet, Verus squat or sit.

I remember as a youg man seeing bidets in Europe but it was when I went to Thailand that I started using the bum gun. When I came back to the states the first thing I bought was a bidet. Best investment ever
