I want to stay in Thailand for 55 days. So do I have to show accommodation booking for all the days ?

You don’t need to show a 55-day hotel booking at immigration. While the visa allows a 60-day stay, you can show a hotel booking for a shorter duration without any problem. Immigration mainly checks for a valid stay arrangement upon arrival, so a few days’ booking is generally sufficient. Good question! As I always advise all travelers should have the hotel bookings , Return Ticket & Show Money before traveling to any country. Therefore you can still book the hotel through online portal and choose payment method at Hotel so if you don’t like the hotel or want to change the hotel upon arrival you can easily do that without any charges but always check the hotel payment policy before booking the hotel to avoid any hidden charges on cancellation! Why in December thai government said e visa to be taken from Jan 1? So as of today Jan 18 we can just book flight and enter Thailand?

Thailand’s Visa on Arrival (VOA) is free of charge for eligible nationalities until further notice-just apply at the airport. E-Visa is a different option where you apply online in advance and pay a fee. Both are valid, but VOA is currently more cost-effective. Hope this clears it up!

Can you please suggest the Visa duration offered for tourist if applied for On arrival Visa, and for accommodation how many days duration booking has to be shown at Immigration, is it for the whole duration or only one week will do ? Kindly advice

Dear Traveler, Please note that the Visa on Arrival is valid for 60 days from your entry date. However, immigration still requires proof of accommodation. We kindly recommend having hotel bookings for at least 7-10 days, and you may be asked to explain your plans for the remainder of your stay. If you are staying for 7 days then hotel booking is recommended for 7 days . But in some scenarios Tourist book hotel for 1 or 2 days then they change if they don’t like or want to go for another destination.
