@ That’s a difficult one. Where do I start. I would say first thing I enjoy is hiring a small motorcycle and riding the town before enjoying a coffee outside one of the world class coffee shops. It’s at this point I try to plan my extended holiday but my plans are never set in stone as there are so many gems to uncover and old haunts in Chiang Mai to visit. Sorry I haven’t answered your question as I love the old town, I enjoy Nimman, I enjoy exploring the rural mountains areas within less an hour away. I particularly enjoy the friendliness of the people who run the food market at jing Jai market. Live music at the Tong bar always brings me back the this terrific little venue. You just need to get there early enough. I could go on and on !

I don't need a lot of space in general. Most of my time I'd want to be building my python skills or at the school learning the language. Chiang mai is crowded and overwhelmed. Just look at the traffic on the moat. The Golden goose is being suffocated in car fumes. Its no longer the paradise of 15 years ago. Infrastructulure that links communities is urgently required. For example, on Mahidol Road and super highway, it is impossible for pedestrians to cross these monoliths for distances well over a kilometer, driving increased traffic and pollution. Local access must be considered and fast public transit to suburbs like Mae Rim / Hang Dong and San Kamphaeng. Integrated park and ride at the perimeters. This is immediate and essential. Air quality is akready impacting Chiang Mai's reputation.
