Paul Wallis is back again for Part 3! In this interview Paul will tell some hilarious stories from his 36 years spent in Thailand.
First up, Paul tells us how he played a practical joke on a Thai security guard.
Then Paul tells the hilarious tale of how he was the brunt of a practical joke himself.
Next up is a boxing fight in Pattaya which went all wrong for Paul.
Finally, Paul ends the interview on a sombre note and explains his plans if he ever gets very sick in Thailand.
Paul is a real character. There aren’t many left like him. It was a pleasure to hear his stories and put them on the channel.

Seconded, I've been thinking the same recently as well. Would be great to hear Thai perspectives and experiences in addition to farang. Could make for lots of great content, and also help expand the channel's audience. Pete, I reckon it's worth at least trying out and seeing what the response is like. Perhaps start with Thais who have lived in the west and returned and have experience of both cultures and interesting stories to tell from that.

Another great interview Pete. I like the way that you have taken your interview technique to allow the subject to open up and allow them the time to flow with their stories with a minimal prompting by yourself (The interviews you did with Noah Shepard was another great example of this) It makes for great watching. To many interviewers try to control the balance of the interview and control the direction. You are getting the balance just right. I didn't warm to your earlier clips that you made as I felt they lacked character and were travel blogs which are a dime a dozen.(Bangkok Life series for example) but you have hooked me with all the interview series ones you have done..brilliant, you are going from strength to strength and I hope your channel continues to grow. Paul is a gem, looking forward to the next parts.

Hi, Enjoyed your interview with Paul. I identify with his life and the twists and turns and surviving to tell his story. My life took me all over the world and I always gravitated to the baddies so many stories that are beautiful, tragic at times. Would I change any of it, yes I would the times I have hurt others but the rest no it was wild and exciting. I have poor health and struggle daily but I am determined to get to Thailand and SE Asia. I have no fear of death because I had a near-death experience. I left my body and went somewhere and was told I had to come back because my work was not done. I still don't know what this work is but I live a life of service to GOD and Humanity. Take care GOD Bless you & yours. M

Another, great interview with Paul. This one had a very eclectic feel, sprinkled with funny anecdotes, clever solutions to problems, pearls of wisdom, and a philosophy of life and death (I wish was explored more). Listening to his stories, his life reminds me of an old saying I've tried to live by, "a young man who lives his life too cautiously is as foolish as an old man who lives his life too carelessly." Living myself 5 years in Pattaya.... Listening your channel, makes me regret even more I returned. From many channels popping up on KZbin about Thailand,..... I need to say,.... YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB !!! Love your approach, just looking for interesting people, NOT looking through eyes of western idiots,.... Who are only fascinated for money and stuff!!! This guy, know what's life is about. I wish I waited 10 years longer, and i would never have left!! I didn't leave because of money, but because of family...that i learned as final life lesson, even those can be your your worst 'people', jealous, thinking at it like 5 years sunbathing, just from the day I returned i was from the smartest , independanst kid, worse then my retarded older sis that didn't achieved anything by herself EVER. Family can be worse then your worst 'friend'!!! I was settled, financially, and loving life, .... But in a bad moment decided to return. Worst choice ever!!!! I wouldn't be able to live, day by day,... I need organized, planned, savings, i need to feel secure future wise.... And i was making more money, in Thailand then living in Belgium! Now, 7 years later, i would never return without a saving of 250.000euro!! Then i can retire and don't need to worry. But you are clearly living good. A good fundament in life is 1st priority. So i wish I would had known same as you.... But daytrading get you through life in Thailand, not in Europe with less then half a million. Still,.....GREAT CHANNEL!!!

Wonderful interview again with Paul. But once again at about the twenty-minute mark I can totally relate with him. It seems as if we have had parallel lives. I am now on the road again alone for at least two weeks filming for my own channel. I never have any set plans for the next day when I wake up as to where I will wander, where I will eat, or even sleep that next night. I am convinced my entire life I have been somewhat guided by something outside of my own consciousness. Not saying it has been easy but it has been the most incredible journey. I have no regrets. My hunch is the moment I have to leave I will have a smile on my face. Likely my biggest regret will be not telling all the good souls I have encountered I wished them well and most of all I loved them.

Life has taught me not to judge people by their outward appearances - he's a traveller, teacher, writer, etc who talks about managed I.T services, and S.E.O!! - how many of us would have guessed that about him, if we saw him walking down the street? Great interview, and storyteller.

I really enjoy your videos. You are a complete natural and the videos are informative and interesting. I see a lot of these Thailand You Tubers are doing the same stuff, and for the most part want fame and money off the back of it. I find most of them hard to watch. Your style is genuine and real, and the videos are natural. Nothing comes across as forced or fabricated for the camera. Keep doing what you are doing I look forward to "Paul part 4" and seeing what else you have in store.
