A remote island in the sea near Japan.
The shrine is on the cliff.
There used to be a man who jumped into the sea from the shrine grounds.
He intended to die.
But a few days later he was found lying on the beach in Japan.
The man was alive.
He spoke this way.
"I dreamed, a giant creature saved my life."
No one has visited the shrine anymore.

I'm going down the rabbit hole today with these resin art dioramas, and I will say the neatest apart about this person's art is how accessible they make it. Just using supplies you can fairly cheaply get, and not all the expensive tools and 3D printers and sponsored supplies that many other artists are given or otherwise have. If someone really wanted to make this, and had the patience, they could at least try, or be inspired by this persons craftwork to do similar things.

I see you often put a disclaimer here where you say something like: "I'm aware that i don't have technique". If people say that about you.. they should show that they can make something better than what you make. Even if there are probably people out there who might have some better technique It will only be a handful and THOSE people would never look down on someone able to create the things you do... I for sure didn't find someone better than what you do yet. So why would you care for idiots giving a negative review? This is superb work!
@Dragonbleps

Agreed! He DOES have technique. It's an art style, and everyone's is different, but none are "wrong." I have so much admiration for him doing all this completely by hand. That takes a LOT of time and skill! So much patience and dedication and love goes into it, and makes it fun to watch!

I like to imagine that this large creature would come every so often to admire and examine the people who visited his home, relishing the warm glow of kindness, respect, and peace they would bring to his domain. However, the temple has long been without visitors and everyday he pokes his head out the water, hoping, riddled with longing to see, to feel once again a glimpse of the light and warmth that used to florish here at this now sad, deserted memory...

To my dearest, my deepest secret: are you well? I saw you a couple times today. Four times, really. You tried too hard to make meeting me to be real, little do you know we had already seen each other in our dreams. I tried to go to where you are. If you know? My spirit looked for you from one place to another, in that shinning city you lived in. Maybe I am crazy liked you told me, but the craziest thing for our mind is to believe that this so called reality we see now with this body on earth, is even real. Where do we really exist? I don’t love for your face, don’t love you for your wealth. Maybe it was the wish you made before, to me that to be together, But it never came. So I know, even death cannot pull us apart. Seeing you once is enough for my life time as I am existing in this body, for this time. Eternity is easily said, but who is. Doing it?

The end results may differ, but if you pay attention you'll see some great techniques you can use in other things. How to make believable trees, for example. How to create the skeleton of, and add scales to, a clay model. The method of making grass for terrain. The method and care you need to put into the tiled roof of a model house. How to make certain that your model is as close to perfectly square as possible. Practising each of the techniques he shows brings this kind of complicated diorama a step closer, one model at a time. All it takes is practice, focus and dedication. However: None of this would have even occurred to me. The amount of small detail and care that went into this model is astounding.

It looks like a Shinto shrine of the Heian period. I think the guardian was a koi-sized creature living in a pond in the imperial grounds, and the boy who would grow up to be emperor Kanmu was his main friend. The boy would bring him food from his own table, go swimming with it, and even come down to the pond with his homework to do it there by his friend. Later, the emperor had a home built in a secret spot so he could get away from the burgeoning politics and court intrigue of the time - down by the coast. He brought his friend there, and would sit on the deck at the local shrine in the middle of the night, long after the Shinto devotees had gone home for the night, and talk with his friend - well, talk at his friend, but he liked to imagine that his friend could understand and sympathise. While having a midnight dip with his friend one time, he remembered his father talking about a magnificent horse and addressing it as a 'noble beast,' and the young Kanmu decided to call his friend Kōkina-kemono. The noble beast still remembers his young friend, and surfaces in that spot on the occasional dark night. Perhaps one of Kanmu's heirs will visit the spot some day, and the bond between Kōkina-kemono and the Kanmu family will blossom again?

The storytelling behind your pieces really show your passion for what you do and the need to, even in a small scale, materialize these narratives. It's unique because we can see exactly what you see in your head and that's a skill only good artists are able to convey. You're one of them!! Dislikes aren't always hate you know, some people see things that could be improved either with the art, the presentation, or other aspects of the video. The whole reason for the like/dislike bar was to show the creator the level of quality their actual video is and how much they need to improve. But now that everyone cares about feelings on the internet people attribute positivity and negativity to simple ratings.

ThatBugBehindYou nah, if someone really saw potential In someone, they’d like the video to encourage them to move forward and give criticism in the comments. The deep was quiet and still, as it had been for years. Fronds of weed gently swayed in the current, and fish darted swiftly between them, nibbling on the weed, as larger fish preyed on them, for they were all hungry. And so was it. The weed parted as the massive, ancient body pushed through the water. The fish scattered and fled, their hunger forgotten, possessed of only the fear that a gazelle feels upon seeing a leopard. It rose, sensing it had arrived, and its bony head broke the surface as it had done many times before, to announce its arrival. As it did so, the creature could not help but notice the change that had taken place there: the platform that housed the temple, once meticulously maintained, was now battered and damaged; the temple itself, once bright and full of people, now dark, and silent; and the land around covered in foliage, where it had once been carefully trimmed, now grew wild, preventing any view of the temple from the mainland. A note of anger entered its mind. Surely they had not forgotten? It must be fed. It was hungry. It shook itself in the water as it felt its stomach knot unpleasantly. It quested swiftly around, but the fish were gone, and it had not bothered with them, believing that it would feast far better than what it could get from hunting. It could sense movement. Even from miles away, it could feel ... splashing? Movement. Not fast moving, but not incapable of swimming. Something not necessarily suited to water ... ? Human. Its hunger fueled its anger. They forgot about it? It would teach them what it cost to forget. It lashed about, and moved with terrible speed toward the people. It would show them what happens to those that forgot its hunger. The end. Thank you for reading :) Edit: just a little bit of a change to some of the language, I'll edit more when I'm not on mobile

People here just going and saying "it's this and that". Did you ever consider that they just ... disliked the video? And used the dislike button for its actual purpose of showing that they didn't like something?

This is the most powerful diorama I have ever seen. It's not just the skill but the story and the title. It promises our world is still full of mysteries - it's almost alive !! ^_^
