Hi. Really loved the review. I'm thinking of buying a jiofi device for work from home as I have no broadband available in my area. Please suggest which one is better? I get quite fair jio network in my range. On my phone alone, it goes up-to 5Mbps. Also, do all the jio sim plans apply to jiofi as well, as in the end it's a jio sim holder only? Can I recharge it with the 999 plan providing 3GB per day? Or the additional wfh packs? It's really urgent. Will really appreciate it if you reply asap as yours was the only review which made it look like you know the device pretty well.

I was thinking of buying a jiofi and after seeing different reviews what i found is that jio download speed is atmost 10mbps and upload speed of 4mbps. Well i am using currently idea 4g and it gives me 30mbps dowload speed and upto 15 mbps upload. I think i should re-consider about buying a jiofi. ✌️

Yeah..mobile device also matters a lot interms of speed, your mobile device might be in CAT18 or higher (which supprts high DL/UL speed). So you can get enough download speed but JioFi doesnt support that speed. If you have higher end mobile device it will be better than JioFI device.

First up, this review was confusing as hell, with both JioFi devices being given "Mac Air" and "Mac Drone" for some weird reason. You should have simply named them as per their model name / no, i.e. M2 & JMR815. Don't know if you were reviewing the iphones or these JioFi devices :-) Internet speeds depend on many factors, including the phones we access them on, network coverage on phone, concurrent users on same cell-tower, etc. I have used JioFi 2, 3, 4, and JMR815 as well. IMO, JioFi 4 was the best. It gave the most stable connection, consistent speed, and more reliable than newer JioFi-6, i.e. JMR815 which reboots randomly, drops connection often with my laptop, and takes 4 hours to charge fully. All JioFi devices are made in China and with cheap Chinese electronic components so they don't last even duration of one year of warranty period. Better to buy a good phone for Rs 5000 which will also work as a 4G Hotspot. They also come with 4000-5000 mAh battery. Better value for money than any JioFi device.

I take back my words. Poor review. I have both the M25 and JMR815 (circular). The JMR815 has slightly weaker wifi range. I left both devices on the ground floor of my home and went to the 2nd floor. My iPhone 6 could detect only the M25. On the 1st floor, both devices cud be detected. The JMR815 does get warm (not hot) when charging - less of a problem with the M25. I’m returning the JMR815. Wish I’d paid attention to the amazon reviews.
