Big big Perch just to your right where the steps are, where the ladies launch their boats from... very close in they try to take you under the bank. And for anyone whos interested, out in the middle towards the weir theres a big deep hole full of large catfish.

When the river is in flood there are a couple of swims on the River Way. If you drive up past the Minnow pub towards weybridge take the 2nd or 3rd road on the right. Parking is difficult but when I was younger we used to fish down there and catch some lovely bags of roach on the float. Also a great area for Jack pike that live in the boat yard to you left round the corner. Worth a walk along there as only 2-3 swims and can be excellent when flood water is on as fish seem to move down the river wey out of the main Thames flow. You can just see where it starts by those new houses on opposite bank to your left when you look at Shepperton lock.

Hi Paul do you mean Weybridge lock mate, thanks for that, I will investigate, I used to drink in the King's head pub years ago, and my mate used to live past the old crown and the way ran through the back of his garden and I could night fish, and boy oh boy, would bag up with Chub on Danish Blue Cheese, cheers mate, thanks for viewing, you guys are amazing 👏 👍 😀 all the best.

@@cliveeariss880 1st or 2nd right after the Crown Pub. At the end there are some cottages. Road bridge and the next one along is a foot bridge. Down the side of the bridges there used to be a couple of swims in the back water. Now I am talking 8-10 years ago so maybe that new development has now fenced off the riverside swims. I’ll have to take a walk along there one weekend over Xmas to see if there is still access. It’s only 10-15m wide but in flood would be the place to go. Very similar fishing to the River Bourne In Chertsey town centre. Not wide. Flowing. There were also 2 swims at the end of Jessamy road. Over the bridge and then straight down to the right hand side. Wooden platforms on the back water. Not sure if they are still there. It did have a private sign but no one ever bothered us for a couple of hours fishing in the winter in the floods. A little off the beaten track but worth a look especially at the moment.
