Peter Marshall is from my home city of Derry in Northern Ireland. Would you think he has a strong Northern Irish accent? I don't hear it.

No he never did. He used to make jokes about his Mother-in-Law in between programmes on Southern Television. That would never happen today!. What is the latest on the sale of U.T.V. to I.T.V. P.L.C.? Has the I.V.C. announcers gone yet? From the New Forest. A former disabled carer for my late and lovely Mum. From the New Forest GOD BLESS!

You are right, he arrived in the mid 1970s at the wonderful Southern Television, and was replaced around 1976 by Adrian Edwards

Great memories. I was 11 at the time this went out. I can remember during these years, always flicking over to the BBC to see if they were still on. Thank you for posting this RAX118G.

Look at that Thursday schedule at the end, almost everything from it has been released commercially! Great clip, thanks.

Of the stuff that hasn't been, a selection of 'After Noon Plus' on DVD might be surprisingly interesting, certainly more so than any comparable show since. I wouldn't be surprised if 'Three Little Words' has been junked, knowing HTV - but by an amazing coincidence, the edition of 'Magpie' trailed here has survived, whereas the vast majority of shows even from its later years are gone. It isn't on the DVD, though.

Video think Peter Marshall is still working, running his own production company or PR firm.

Thames never played out with the NA at the end of the day's programming as part of their closedown sequence unlike LWT which they did (and I speak as a Londoner).
