Thanakha ~ သနပ်ခါး Myanmar Traditional Make-up

For the beauty and to protect from sunburn, both men and women apply on their faces in Myanmar. Yellow Thanakha Paste is produced from the Thanakha wood after grinding on the stone-slab by mixing a few drops of water.
Mostly putting on the face by the girls and we have different patterns such as leaf, circle, rectangle, spots and circles, rabbit ears shapes and etc.
Thanakha barks or wood cut out from the tree which need to be grown for at least 8 to 10 years, the older of the tree age, quality and fragrance is the better.
