Hearing that you are having health problems breaks my heart. You and Amy do such a stellar job with these videos and shorts and it is readily apparent how much you love what you are doing. Truth be known, I have been watching since early 2021 when I was ill myself and struggling with chemo treatments. Now I'm in full remission and starting to travel to some of the locations that you've covered over the years. All because I would see something on your channel and think, man! I have GOT to go there! We are, yes, starting in Jan. Glenn didn't make it to Cathedral Valley but there are two more videos left from the Utah trip. I had one finished but the last video I'm been chipping away at over the last two weeks in between helping Glenn out. Our goal is resume with releasing everything that has been filmed in the new year. Kinda playing things by ear.

One note about the timing of airing videos off-season - if we watch a video in the winter about a summer destination, that would give us enough time to make a camping reservation for the following summer! I like the blah, blah, blah because that way we get to hear what you're feeling, and thinking in the moment as you explore! Interesting that the videos with the AI voice does better. People can't tell it's in the video until they get into watching it. Like, the title and thumbnails are about the subject matter of the video. Wish you all the best in your future job hunt! I just went through getting laid off from a software/QA job after 3 years with a company. Never fun to go through. With this job market, I would suggest getting going sooner than later as it's tough sledding right now. Obviously your health is the most important thing! I saw the video with some AI earlier and it was good! AI can be a fine tool for people to use as part of a larger creative effort. I actually am impressed with the Slim AI voice. What tool are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

We're definitely aiming for getting going as soon as possible, but the timeline isn't exactly one we're controlling right now sadly. Sorry to hear about the layoff! It's a rough time of the year for them too. Hopefully you find (or found?) something with ease. As for the AI voice, we're using ElevenLabs. We've been pretty pleased with it. Many good voices that sound better than the usual suspects one encounters in a number of short form videos. 😅
