Walking down Kalakaua Street in Waikiki the other week and stumbled upon this dudes surf school. I looked inside to check it out and almost trip over a guy laying on a surfboard on the sidewalk teaching a girl how to surf. WTF!? It was Jamie O'Brien giving some lucky person a private lesson. I was blown away. Dude goes above and beyond. True ambassador of surfing. Shootz! 🤙

Surfed with him at big wedge in CA one time. Guy was a total jerk and wave hog. Would not communicate or collaborate on wave selection. Glad he is behaving less selfishly today.

Jamies surf school taught my 3 daughters to surf and they never surfed before. First wave, all 3 of them took off and left me in the dust. Though at age 53 and partial disabled I got out on the waves again to inspire my girls to give it a try. Unforgettable experience, made me tear up watching them surf for the first time.❤🏄‍♂️🤙

Kelly Slater is 51 and STILL placing first in masters competition ..he’s an alien being . Many surfers don’t stay on top like JOB .he just has more fun and gets wealthier

Still getting up on the board like O'Brian and surfing at any age is a good thing, people place a lot expectations on older surfers, and think they all should retire after 30, stop believing that age has anything to do with having fun, I never thought I would make it to the age I'm at now 71 and still surfing when ever I can,age is just a number and old age should be cherished, Jamie can out surf dudes half his age.

JAMIEEEE SO SPYCHED FOR THE NEW CONTENT, just getting back into surfing I got a new board too! Had a break but unfortunately cause work and everything and just moved out my parents but 4 or 5 years ago I bought the grey stay psyched hoodie it’s the only thing I’ve ever bought from a KZbinr and was the first purchase I made on my own (I was like 13), it’s a few sizes too small so I have to pick a new one up soon. But you get me so psyched to surf everytime I even hear your name man, and I’m hoping one day I can go to Hawaii and meet you that would be the dream! Keep everything you do up thank you so much for your content!

I don't know what Breitling is trying to prove man. I'm a watch collector & I also surf...who in their right mind would buy a $5000 watch to use for surfing?! It's one of the worst watches to use for water sports because they always have problems with their screw down crown which is supposed to prevent water from entering the watch, and to fix them is not cheap. I know because I owned 3 of their watches and sold all of them. Anyway they have a poor sales team who try to sells to surfers of all people. Which would you rather spend money on, a 5 grand watch or 10 surfboards for that amount of money? Even if you don't use it for surfing it's still a crap watch brand which will have many problems later on. Sorry for the rant, I just need to tell people who are not into watches and not get trap by their marketing strategy. As usual great video Jamie 💥👍.....that last barrel though 😯💪
