My brave Son is returning home from War, Authentic is a true Hero after all the exhausting labor and putting his livelihood on the line in this dangerous world we call earth! Even with negativity all around his heart and desire pushed him through and I am proud of you dad -InToMischief

I know a lot of people will probably be upset about this retirement, but this colt's value is probably near 50 million dollars. To continue racing wouldn't just be the cost of training and travel, but also insurance. Monthly premiums could be as much as 250k per month. I think myracehorse would rather spend that money on new prospects.

He was almost another Triple Crown winner by the way; among the fact the focus by tv handicrappers was never on #9 Authentic in the Breeders Cup...like even Baffert commented usually a good horse wins Kentucky Derby. Low stud fee.....I guess rich dont always get richer ........fast. He was fast early + tough late.....now thats a good horse.

Shareholders just got screwed with a pitiful $75,000 stud fee. I justed learned a lesson investing with MyRaceHorse.

75k is a good number for this colt. He's a pretty good physical, and obviously has a great race record, but his dam side isn't very strong. I was thinking it would be closer to 50k. You might get lucky and he'll strike in his first crops and you'll see that stud fee go up. But expect it to go down for his third season at stud before he's 2yo's hit the track. It's a long term investment.
