I am blessed with this beautiful praise and worship song. Thank You Lord Jesus for the Blood You poured out on the Cross that saved and redeemed us back to God our Father in Heaven. Let me share a testimony of my spiritual experience when I received a New Birth in my spirit, that has something to do with the message of the song. On the day when I surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus, wherein I acknowledged myself a sinner and humbled myself before Him in prayer with all my heart: confessed, repented and asked forgiveness of all my sins before Him, and that what He endured on the cross is for me and mankind that we may be forgiven, and that His Blood is the only one that can cleanse us from our sins, I felt something unusual happened in me. I sensed within me that something like a water was poured on my head. The cool water flowed down slowly like an oil from my head to my shoulders and my whole body. As the water runs down my body, hands, legs and feet, I felt something coarse like sand or mud that goes down with it until it disappeared at the tip of my fingers and toes. Afterward, I felt so light and refreshed as if I had no weight, and then I was filled with the 'Love and Peace of God'. The Light of the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation ( Ephesians 1:17 ): Then and only then, I realized how filthy is a man before God; he is covered with mud of sin and filthiness of life in this fallen world. He needs the Holy Blood of Christ Jesus that He had shed on the Cross to cleanse him from all sins, filthiness, inequities and unrighteousness. Blessed be THE LORD. Truly, the Word of God is true concerning the filthiness of man because of sin, and the cleansing of it can be done only by the washing of the Holy Blood of the Son of God, which He had poured out on the Cross. My experience clearly defines and confirms the message of the Gospel on the forgiveness of sins in the Name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus and what He had done on the Cross for our Salvation and in receiving the promised Life Eternal in Heaven. Furthermore, the sin that had entered into this world and man's life is the weight that made man carries a heavy load. But, the Lord Jesus had carried it all the way until His death on the Cross of Calvary. Therefore, those who acknowledged what He had done and received it in their lives as a propitiation of their sin and fallen nature shall He remove this weight from them. He shall replace it with a burden and yoke of following Him and living His Will that is light and easy. This testimony of God in me made me fully understand how to be forgiven of The LORD our Merciful and Gracious God as what His Word, the Holy Bible teaches, which I considered a 'great and marvelous' thing. Thank You so much Father, for washing away my sins and cleansing me with the Holy Blood of Your Only Begotten Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that He had shed on the Cross of Calvary. Thank You for the "Justification unto Sanctification" that Your Son had done on the Cross for me and mankind. Thank You so much Father. This song made me recall this experience and touched me deeply with gladness and gratitude to the LORD our God and Savior every time I listened. Let me share to you more of God's testimony in me that follows the one above. On that very day of my new birth in my spirit, I was filled by an 'unusual' feeling. I felt that I was "so thirsty" within my being. It was as if I have not drank a water for days, that I so dearly need it more than anything else. The thirst I felt was not physical, because natural water could not retrieve me out of that thirst even a little. But it was a spiritual thirst of a "Living Water", because there was a deep urge in me to read the Word of God, and as I read it my thirst was being filled. It was as if I am drinking a cool of water as I read the Bible. It made me feel so good and refreshed as I read and study the Scriptures. It was as if I was drinking the Word of God. I even understood what I read with clarity of mind and digested it so well. I sensed that the Word I read is being downloaded within me. This thirst remain in me for years, though it gradually subsided when I got enough knowledge and understanding of the Word and Truth. But there is still an amount remain in me, because I always love to read, study, meditate and hear the Word. And so my Bible is always open on my desk, whether I am at home or on board the ship, ready to be read anytime, and it is full of markings. Thank You so much Father, for making me "thirsty" of the "Water of Life" and made me "drink of it freely", thank You. I hope this testimony will provide a Light of truth, wisdom and understanding concerning the "Living Water" and of being "thirsty" that the Bible says. This experience is a living proof that the Word of God as declared by Holy Bible itself is "Spirit, Life and Truth". ( John 17:17; 6:63 ) Truly, the Word of God is the Living Water and Bread of Life from Heaven that feeds the thirsty and hungry soul and spirit of man who is born of God, with the knowledge of God, Truth and Righteousness. ( John 1:1, 12-14 ) A life of a child of God is a tree in God's husbandry planted by the rivers of Living Water that flows out of the Throne of God. ( Psalm 1; Revelation 22:1-2 ) Scriptural Lights: John 4:6-14; 6:35; 6:53-56; 7:39-39; Revelation 21:6-7; 22:1-2, 17; Jeremiah 2:11-15; 31:12; Zechariah 14:5-10; Matthew 5:6; Psalm 42:1-2; Isaiah 44:1-6; 58:11 I hope and pray that this testimony may provide you some light of guidance and direction to find the Glory of God's Salvation in Face of His Only begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
