3 years ago today, a great tragedy befell the beautiful city of Kyoto. One of the deadliest attacks on Japanese soil since the Second World War. At the time I didn't watch anime, but I do remember this being all over the news. I didn't know about KyoAni, but I did notice this was a big deal. Seeing people's comments about KyoAni, how much they meant to them, I realized KyoAni wasn't just any studio. Now, I finally understand what they meant. Each and every one of these shows has struck a chord with me in its own special way. Each and every one of them, a masterpiece in its own right. I plan to watch every KyoAni show eventually, and, of course, look forward to their upcoming projects. I'm so incredibly happy to see KyoAni already back on its feet with plenty of amazing stuff to look forward to in the future. This is late, but, to all those affected by this tragedy, our thoughts and prayers are with you. To those who lost their lives, you will live on forever through you brilliant works of art. Thank you, KyoAni, for being such a positive influence in the world.

I didn’t know much about anime nor the arson attack on the studio in 2019, but I understood and saw what you meant. I did feel hurt when I came across it and seeing how many were devastated of the attack. I began watching anime in 2021 and realised how much many have done in the anime industry, from new manga series, to the most popular works, such as Naruto, ever. I’m with you! Kyoani doesn’t deserve this to happen to them!
