I would like to thank Vanessa and Morgan for beautiful season, which was full of heart attacks and tears, goosebumps and pure happiness. You did it Guys!

Patricia. Unfortunately that will not happen. As you may be aware Vanessa and Morgan retired in September 2020. However Vanessa came out of retirement in April 2021 but no longer skates for France. She now skates for Canada and has teamed up with pairs skater Eric Radford. They are aiming to represent Canada at the 2022 Olympics. Morgan I believe is on a different career pathway and is now a property realtor. I don't believe he will skate again given what he has allegedly been involved in which would prohibit him skating professionally. I wish both Vanessa and Morgan all the best going forward in their professional and personal lives. I certainly miss seeing them together on the ice.

I have not followed figure skating for some time, but I ran across the black and white video of them skating to The sound Of Silence a couple of days ago, and now I can't get enough of them! I'm not quite sure what it is about them that sets them apart for me, but I am hooked. She is beautiful, and they connect so well out there.

To the commenter innlate 2020, who asked if she should delete her comment about Morgan having his “hands” on her “24/7” from the athletic practice and maybe losing ENOUGH emotional appreciation for her as a result, I don’t know but don’t delete. I was thinking the same thing. I love them. My marriage broke up over my spouse having some issues that are emotionally resonating for me, with allegations against Morgan now. My heart is so full for them both; maybe I am just projecting my own issues on their situation and nobody can “know” another couple, as a couple (or even as friends); it’s their privacy we SHOULD respect while we can grieve our own loss of them. But I did reply reply below to a woman asking “should I delete” (her comment that Morgan got to hold her everyday all day, losing touch w/ romantic specialness?, to paraphrase her). I said no, don’t delete. It is THEIR MATTER and we have to grieve our own more minor loss of them. Yet...What Vanessa once or more (in public) has called his “impulsivity” might involve him seeking novelty, and there seems nobody out there who could be more in unison with him. If he gets to touch her all day long, it’s not so exciting, is it, perhaps, to.be romantic off the ice and out of the gym. BUT now he doesn’t have her, maybe he will see. I mused below also the murmurs about how those who assumed it “must” be about sexual orientation BC so many male ice dancers claim all of them are gay no matter how romantically they dance on ice with women partners. But sexuality is complicated and this doesn’t look like a couple acting. Vanessa allegedly said of a performance they did termed steamy in Zurich (?) among so many that are *elegantly* sensual, that “we are not actors,” when someone commented that they act as part of the performing. So I hope for them. I hope for her right now most BC I think she is more clear about her choices and spent 9 years or more as his partner on ice and much of that off ice as well when they each acknowledged it publicly long ago. Yet women need to make choices faster than men, and they grow up faster, plus she is 3 or 4 years older. Men can take more time to sort these things out before settling down with someone (regardless of who or even apart from gender as there are people who just love another human being for their soul). I really hope MOST OF ALL that they each find joy and happiness no matter what happens. Some say good skaters will perform together while hating each other BC if each is good then they both do better in competition and in life. That might be sp fir some skaters but these two cannot possibly be fakers, not one hundred percent fake, no way. There is love whether they are a couple or not. I love them and wish them each the absolute best. June James raised a daughter who is elegant and strong, mature at age 8, and I think has a lot of faith in God. Morgan wears a cross not as a fashion statement. Vanessa pinned a great quote about how to live life (on Instagram or FB- someone sent it to me),recently. I always think of how SHE says without quoting anyone else “BE KIND OR BE QUIET.” I hope I’ve been kind BC I mean nothing but kindness and sympathy and love for them and their families.

I only discovered their stunning performances together in the last few weeks, and then the charges- as I searched for more, and more recent videos. My first consternation has turned to something more complicated as I tracked down the story, and discovered that Morgan did not do a random, out-of-character Anthony Weiner move and send off unsolicited obscene picture to an unsuspecting teenager. Nor does he appear to have a history of stalking girls/women. But the issue is so thermonuclear that accusations, and the particular sequence of events, and evidence- are all irrelevant in the minds of most. Morgan’s career has been destroyed, with his partner and coaches receiving collateral damage. What happened is this, once you untangle the bad writing of the reporter who told the story- a coach named Vinny Dispenza bribed a teenaged skater and her friend (with a pizza!) to message Morgan on his Instagram account REQUESTING an explicit photo. Pause here and give some thought to why this guy would do such a thing. Why no one is saying a thing about his abuse of this child. Then ask yourself why a pizza would be sufficient inducement for the child to do such a bizarre thing- did she think it was some kind of prank? To anyone seeing clearly, they laid a trap for Morgan. Why? Who benefited? Was there a financial inducement for Dispenza? Professional jealousy? We will never know, because the subject is too radioactive to discuss rationally. I have watched all of the James/Cipres videos I can find, and watched again the interactions at the ends of performance and in interviews. He seems open and warm-hearted, guileless, a halting speaker of English. Possibly socially naive beyond his years, after having spent his entire life perfecting his skating skills. Possibly a blank-screen, simple man like Chance the gardener in “Being There.” Where more complicated and devious characters project their dramas. It’s a damned, damned, DAMNED shame, and I wish I thought there was any hope of justice coming after Dispenza, and help for the girl who got herself tangled into his scheme. Even more, I hope that Morgan, his friendship with Vanessa, and the professional lives of his coaches, are not utterly destroyed.

'Beautifully express in words, Louisa Smith' I, myself just started watching Vanessa & Morgan about a month now, I almost feel like I cannot give my opinion because their journey was 9-10 years, Ice skating together?? however 'each his own'.... I was never into ice skating, I think because I listen to Céline Dion's song 'A new day has come' ( my favorite song of her's) often, the video of Vanessa & Morgan, along with that song keep showing up in my recommendation, finally I said 'what the heck, at least I would love the song, WOW, was I in for a surprise..... Vanessa & Morgan had something magical, whether on or off the ice ( from what I have learned they dated for 2 years?). Someone else commented like this and asked “should I delete” after they broke up over scandal allegedly, in USA. I replied wherever in here: No - don’t delete. I was thinking the same thing. Wjat Vanessa once or more (in public) has called his “impulsivity” might involve him seeking novelty, but there seems nobody out there who could be more in unison with him. If he gets to touch her all day long, it’s not so exciting, is it, perhaps, to.be romantic off the ice and out of the gym. BUT now he doesn’t have her, maybe he will see. I thought it must be sexual orientation BC so many male ice dancers claim all of them are gay no matter how romantically they dance on ice with women partners. But sexuality is complicated and this doesn’t look like a couple acting, Vanessa allegedly said of a performance they did termed steamy that “we are not actors,” when someone commented that they act as part of the performing. So I hope for them. I hope for her right now most BC I think she is more clear about her choice (women need to be, men can take more time to sort that out). I really hope .... most of all that they each find joy and happiness no matter what happens. Some say good skaters will perform together while hating each other BC if each is good they both do better in competition and in life. That might be fir some but these two cannot possibly be fakers, not one hundred percent fake, no way. There is love whether they are a couple or not.
