The old man making squid game is more a product of what society has become. Rich or poor both depressed, desparity makes us loose trust in oneanother and i guess why an old man with nothing to laugh at would.. make such a game and so.. but its still too inhumane for a human to take that decision imo. Yeah 1 of those 400 will get rich and pay their debts and so one at least got a chance.. if he truly stood by the word of wanting to help he could just give SOME people a fair high amount of money really. So i dont acturally think the old man is the whole reason for this game as frontman too were terrified of ot letting the show run as smooth as possible, i bet his life is on the line too. Money is pulling everyones threads in this show.
