I was planning on creating a Jackson Pollock painting for our guest room and so I googled 'How to paint like Pollock' and found your channel. Since then (about 3 weeks ago) I think I've watched every video you've uploaded, it's been great! I just wanted to thank you for all of your advice, tips, tricks and techniques. It's been awesome, and I'm sad you're hanging up your brushes. Good luck cleaning off that driveway! LOL

Oh man. I still go back to these videos, and just now saw this. Sad but it would be insane to keep doing it if your heart was not in it

Sounds to me like you must have many talents and are wise to give yourself the opportunity to discover each talent in depth. You definitely gave it your all and now its time to try something new that you are interested in. Something that is for your journey. Just for you, not for the sake of youtube subscribers but just for your discovery and life's journey. This was not the end.. This was a stretch of road in your path. There is still so much more for you to embrace.

Thank you for your honesty. It’s refreshing. I’d say best of luck, but you don’t need it. People like you who are self aware and follow their gut will live their best life. The world needs more color, so thank you for contributing.

Hi Coty, Thank you for sharing your creative journey. Everyone is different and we all go through changes. Some leave and come back and using their creativity in other ways and some just stop altogether. Just know that you have provided a gift to everyone and although no one is entitled to or owns any part of your creative perspective, you have provided many with a different perspective that has undoubtedly inspired others to experiment in mediums they never thought they'd try or understand. Thank you for sharing your creative vision. I hope that you will allow yourself the pleasure of expression in other ways--blessings to you and yours. You are appreciated, Coty.

Cody, thanks for your honesty. If your heart isn't in it, then you should stop but I encourage you to pray about it. God put this desire to paint into your heart for a reason. I believe that was to give you a platform to glorify him through the talent he has given you. You have the platform so find out what God wants you to do with it if it's not art. You have inspired me to try different things especially with the Pollock videos. I have enjoyed throwing and dripping paint and have even been using this technique on my mirror mosaics. Thanks for all the encouraging advice on how to do different styles. I pray you find your passion. Often it's right under your nose but for whatever reason you haven't yet seen it. God bless you brother in Christ.

Coty....I believe creating art will always be in your heart and will never disappear. It’s about timing and life and one day you may reignite the artistic flame abs be motivated to paint again. You have a gift and I have learned a lot from you. If and when you come back, your audience will still be here. I know how a certain desire can change, it’s happened to me. The motivation to achieve some desire will always be there when ready... take care and hope to see you back soon!

Good for you Coty. Like others here I had just found your channel and jumped on the subscribed list because I found your work fascinating and your approach to the videos informative. All that being said, from personal experience the things that bring us joy lose their lustre when they become tedious. When there are expectations from others, or from ourselves to produce, to do, to provide, to move in directions that we’re either uncomfortable with or just not interested in become a burden. And then there’s the possibility that this channel and your interest in creating art are just part of your overall journey - contributing to something even more important which we’re unable to foresee. Regardless, I am thankful to have found your channel - even if just for a moment. I wish you well and that you find contentment in whatever lies ahead.

Coty, I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve lost the desire to paint, but I certainly hope you don’t feel that the last few years have been a wasted journey. It is always worth trying something, and working out that it isn’t for you, than not trying it at all. Art should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, but it should primarily be something you do for your satisfaction alone; if you’re just doing it to keep subscribers happy then I don’t think that’s a good enough reason to continue. As a long-time subscriber I have really enjoyed following your work and progress, and I’m sure your generosity in sharing your art and the processes behind it have inspired other people to try their hand at painting. I wish you all the best for the future and hope that you have a happy and fulfilling life, wherever it takes you.
