I have a great answer for tbe cover image. So basicaly, a lot of the angels we see shouldent be able to fly anyway beacsue tbe size, shape and placement of their wings would cause their wingsnto break or make them unable to fly. Take a birds wings for example, they all have certain wing shapes an sizes that allow them to do what they need to do. If were looking for someone tonrefrenec when drawing wing on humans, the live action malificent (maleficent mistress of evil allows us to see more of her wings, so jts a bettrr reference) is one of the few winged characters that have the correct wing size, shape, structure and overall proportions that would allow flight. If we compare this to many/any other winged character, there is no logical reasoon as to why they are able to fly as their wong proportions are off, therfore, their wings should not be able to hold them jn the air. As for the whole "skin wings" this would not work as if a person were to have wings, they would need to either have feathers or enormous dragon wings. The prime and flight feathers need to be able to be adjusted for turns and overall mobility and stability.
