For Sofrito put in a blender 1 onion diced green red orange and yellow pepper 1 whole head garlic 2 bunches cilantro. Blend and pour into a covered ice tray and freeze. Use as many cubes to put in beans or rice or marinate chicken or meat. Enjoy! Happy thanksgiving!

Quick trick i actually learned the other day is to par boil the Sweet potatoes and let cool and then it's so easy to peel and cut! Did that today for mine worked like a charm!

I am envious of how organized you are. Your house is so beautiful. You will be the perfect hostess for your guests tomorrow. I have a family of 8. My husband and I do ALL the cooking. My daughters come over and help me cook/clean. It’s beautiful memory making. Today, I made a red velvet cake, 3 pecan pies, cooked chicken and took it off the bone to use as giblets in the dressing and gravy tomorrow, made cornbread for my dressing tomorrow, made broccoli salad, tea, and cleaned everything back up. Then, I took out ingredients I need to make macaroni, dressing, and sweet potato casserole with yummy brown sugar, pecans, and marshmallows to make cooking tomorrow easier. Hubby and I will put turkey in oven around 5:00am so it’ll be out in time for me to cook other dishes. I love potato salad with onions but we rarely have that for Thanksgiving. We’ll have rice to go with our giblet gravy and of course deviled eggs. It’ll be a lot of cooking for a 20 minute sit down meal. But, it’s always worth the hard work. Thank you for sharing, Tish. I'm late but I just subscribed and I try to prep a couple days before and cook night before and day of. I like my food fresh and hot. Desserts and spaghetti salad cold! I make punch and it's me and my boys. I take my mama food if she want it. We have water and pop and enjoy each other and finish any decorations for Christmas

Thank you for the great tips! Everyone in my house has this cruddy cold except for my husband! Nothing I had planned has happened on time so we will be cooking the bare minimum tomorrow morning for us 4 and my brother! We are 1/3 of a 3 branch bigger family! Girl, I used to host Thanksgiving for 25 people but for the last couple of years we have been going to my sister's house. My kids are grown with kids of their own and my house is too small to fit all those family members. I do miss it though. 😥 This year we aren't doing turkey. Since I am Italian we are doing meatballs, stuffed shells, and Zuppa Toscana soup 🍲, plus a ham and sides to go with it. Hope your dinner turns out amazing!
