It’s a good movie. The cinematography and score are amazing. The film should look good on 4K as long as Disney has nothing to do with it. Very filmic photography

I was torn. It was basically a feature-length _Twilight Zone_ episode and while I can appreciate a twist that tricked me successfully, I don't know if the story was good enough without it. That said, I'll probably get it because I am just NOT onboard with Shyamalan's latter-day stuff.

When Thanksgiving’s 4K was announced Eli Roth posted about it and everyone was so upset/excited for the 4K and the all the ones (I saw) who were upset since they bought the blu ray got responded to by Roth saying that it was because of the blu ray sales. I just find it so weird that some studios are doing this, like come on! An idiot could tell you that Thanksgiving on 4K was gonna sell!

Actually held off on Bill & Ted (Ex. Adventure) on 4k and just got the set from Target. Something happened with the Godzilla Minus One pages on Target, none are showing now, plus the Elm Street "steel" with the wrong artwork is showing as back open for pre-orders.

Ghost is so inconsistant. If you pay attention from the time he becomes a ghost, the things he can touch and that which he cannot do not make sense. From when he's sitting in a chair gripping it with his hands, to when he's trying to move things with those very same hands. He's falling through people going up the stairs, but he is able to get back up using his hands on the surfaces. Then he's struggling to touch other surfaces. I haven't seen it since the 90s. I really enjoyed it the first few times, but as I started paying attention, I noticed so many things that just don't make sense.

I almost guarantee the percentage of people who bought the Blu-ray is drastically weighted by those who won’t care that a 4K (steelbook) could come out. Eli Roth said himself the Blu-ray sales are the only reason this happened. For me, I’m happy to sit back and let those that don’t really care about format buy the Blu-ray up, then if 4K comes, cool I’ll get it, and if not, cool I’ll get the Blu-ray on the cheap. No loss either way

As a massive fan of Sam Raimi, I will always preorder one of his movies when they come to 4K. It also helps that I love Drag Me To Hell. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think there was a US limited release on the Godzilla website that was in the Japanese packaging with and there was only English subtitles. Would be weird if that was the only release in the states that doesn’t have the English dub

I pre-ordered the 4K of Seven Samurai from Rarewaves in the U.K. last week as I much prefer the packaging over the current packaging for the Criterion editions. I won't be able to watch the BFI's Blu-ray of extras but that's fine as I have the Criterion disc of supplements and it has more than enough.

I got the US version of the 4K boxset for Godzilla Minus One with English subtitles etc. since region free/I am in the UK and I am sooooo reducing my steelbooks. Pain in the ass they are. The Godzilla Minus One steelbook also has nothing on the boxset with the original Japanese artwork.

Like many others, the first watch at the theatre of The Village was met with frustration and disappointment due expectations set from the advertising. Once rewatched and excepted, it was obvious its a pretty great film, with great performance, and a neat and unique story, with a pretty cool twist. Excited that Blu-ray is finally in the works. Of course more Touchstone is welcome.

When the bait and switch happens, it depends on the movie. If I really love it, I will get the blu ray. If it comes out later in 4k and I love the movie, I will likely get the 4k and give the blu ray to my son or grandson, depending on what their interests are. Shout/Scream Factory: Like you, I will be picking up Death Becomes Her the day it comes out. Likely will pre-order, since we don't have a good place to purchase new films here in town. The others I already have, though not necessarily on blu ray. But none of the remaining movies are something I want to upgrade to 4k but Death Becomes Her. I will be looking to get the Vinegar Syndrome release of Thieves Like Us. Very good movie and one I don't have and would love to add to the collection.

I was never that smitten with THE VILLAGE. The trailer was excellent but the film itself seemed like a thoroughbred racehorse jumping over a cardboard box: beautiful but...kinda underwhelming. That said, I'll bet it looks amazing so I'll probably get it. DEATH BECOMES HER is a surprising announcement. I'll probably get it. I might get SHOCKER for the bonus features alone. DEVIL is a fucking outstanding film. I was in awe at how tight and skilled it was, just as I was with RED EYE a few years later. I will definitely be getting that one. If the transfer is good, I'll definitely get that MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. Excellent film and a damn sight better than the Kenneth Branagh remake. I'll probably get both IN A VIOLENT NATURE and I SAW THE TV GLOW because I have to get a number of A24 stuff and I'm trying to get a collection of first edition 21st Century classics. I still need THE OUTWATERS.

Thanksgiving got a German 4K release, and Eli Roth confirmed in an Instagram comment that the Blu Ray sales allowed them to pursue a domestic 4K release. So the Blu Ray sales made the 4K possible. And, the 4K features DV & Atmos, plus new feature/s. Let’s be happy it got upgraded to a 4K domestically.

I am very much on team I Saw the TV Glow. Actually, it might be my favorite film of the decade so far. But I find it incredibly difficult to recommend because its appeal is so specific. If you like David Lynch, you’d be on the path to liking it. A24’s blu-ray looks incredible!

Thanksgiving was good but it wasn't THAT good. I'll just stick with my bluray. It definitely wasn't to the same "kin" of those feature length films from the Grindhouse fake trailers. Would have been amazing if it got the Machete treatment and was pretty much already made so that Grindhouse "fake" trailer wasn't really fake. Hobo with a Shotgun I think was better as a feature film as they casted Rutger Hauer, but still had the same look. The Thanksgiving "fake" trailer had Michael Beihn and would have been so cool to have him in the movie.

Ken, I just want to thank you, I am a huge Physical Media collector, and I watch your channel every week as well as several others. But I have noticed that "James" over at "In Search Of Physical Media" is very Homophobic when it comes to reviewing LGBTQ films, he made a negative comment about Brokeback Mountain, and refuses to watch it, and he refuses to watch "In and Out" both films being released from Kino Lorber. But "You" and "Movie Guy365" and "Boutique Blu-ray" with Elliot Coen, and Vague Ramblings with Richard Diaz, and many others are great about not excluding LGBTQ themed films from your reviews and I really appreciate it. I love Horror, Science Fiction, Action, Drama and Suspense, But anyone who is LGBTQ or an Ally, should not support "James" over at "In Search Of Physical Media" because he is Homophobic..

You all are jumping the gun on the village either getting a bluray or a 4k releaes. Bc Disney has not even said anything about the village finally getting a bluray or a 4k releaes. And yes the director said he was working on it. But that does not mean it will actually come out on bluray or 4k. So until Disney officially announces its release. Don't be surprised if the village does not get releaes either on bluray or 4k. And if remember Disney licenses out all there catalog titles to Sony to release on bluray & 4k. And Sony has not even announced any of Disney catalog titles for bluray or 4k releaes. And I can care less about Thanksgiving getting a 4k bc I already own the bluray & I don't need every single movie on 4k and bluray is good enough. And I already own ghost on bluray from paramount presents so no need to rebuy it just for a 4k releaes. And Paramount scares box sets volume 2 is a total waste of money Bc all the titles in this box set are recycled catalog titles that already been released on bluray. And already own breakdown on bluray from paramount presents. And I will not be getting a nightmare on elm street 4k. Bc Warner Bros is screwing over the nightmare on elm Street fans by only releasing the first one on 4k instead of releasing a 4k box set witch would be a big seller. So until we get either a remastered bluray or a 4k box set releaes I will hold off on buying just the first one on 4k. And scream factory's new Announcements are just a joke and a total waste of money. Bc all these catalog titles are just recycled catalog titles that already been released on bluray.
