Agreed, no one in our Boot camp did this, also when did they allow boots to wear a Maroon Beret without having been to jump school? Then again my basic was 1981, only Rangers wore Black berets, And those dress uniforms look like Dress Blues, we wore BDU's or Dress Greens, never owned dress blues, the Old Guard 3d Infantry Regiment Ft. Myer, VA. wore them. Guess the military changed allot! No more beer Machines in the day room. I miss this and all those I served with, especially 1ST SGT LUMLEY- 2nd/325th 82DIV FBNC.
