I know you said cook until golden brown but I'm new at this so do you know about how long to start looking? Is the norm about 30 minutes to brown something?
@laceysmith46785 жыл бұрын
Hey their Becky. When she said cook until golden brown, just pay attention to the top & when it starts getting golden brown/crispy then it’s good. I would start at 15 minutes (possibly 20 minutes) & just pay close attention to it. :)
@laceysmith46785 жыл бұрын
Actually now that I think about it I would say about 20-25 minutes. Just keep close eye on it & it’ll be great. Don’t forget to set out the night before. You want it completely thawed out.

@tferrari105 жыл бұрын
What's ur recipe? My husband wanted me to make some so I attempted last night from a "Hattie Bs" copycat recipe. It was good but the roux made it more of a cheese flavored sauce instead of making it cheesy. I'd like to try again with a different recipe.
@tresfeles27845 жыл бұрын
Grate 1 and 1/4 lb sharp chededar cheese. Add an 8 oz jar of diced pimentos and 1 sleeve of crushed saltine crackers. The sauce is 1 egg, 1 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/3 cup water. Stir over medium heat until thickened. COOL IT thoroughly before adding to the cheese misture. If it comes out too dry you can add a ltitle mayonnaise or if too wet add more crushed saltines. Best to make a day ahead so flavors can meld. So awesome to make a turkey sandwich the next day with pimento chese and cranberry sauce. Yum!

Sweet potato casserole is my favorite. I like green bean casserole but I dont like so much cream of mushroom. I would do about a can for like 5 cans of green beans. I find to much cream of mushroom taste like snot and you cant even taste the green beans. Personal preference though. I wish so bad that I had a small deep freeze to prep ahead. I have a standard fridge with no space.
