Condolences to the Smith family. I worked for you when you lived in Kingston. I am pleased to see how the children has grown up and is successful in their own rights. Mr. Smith was such a kind and gentle person. Always running jokes. I was never treated as a helper, by him nor his lovely wife Lynette. Instead I was told that I was a part of the family and that is the way that I was treated. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Ernest was my friend of 45 years, although I have not seen him in 30 years the few conversations we had were always filled with laughter. He had a self-described flambouyant personality and was always kind and enagaging. It was only this summer I was in St. Ann and thought a lot about visiting with him. I did not call him but hoped to surprise him one day soon. I never knew he was ill, so his death was quite a shock to me. I feel a deep sense of loss but I will always remember how he tried to make everyone around him comfortable and important. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Smith and the rest of his family. Rest in Light my friend.

Condolences to the family from the UK, he was my mothers cousin now living in the UK brought up in Orange Hill/Browns Town. I met my uncle Ernest in my teenage years when we visited Jamaica in the 80s. From memory he was a very warm and generous man, no doubt he will be greatly missed.

@@corrinegrannell8396 Totally agreed. Less u had no knowledge about the number of people got killed in churches. People oftentimes go straight into church to kill other people. What about having some respect for our Maker and his house of worship ? Which is more important ? U seem to be a man worshipper, I am not. As far as I can see Crimes have consumed our little island of Jamaica so much so that the culprits don't care anymore where they kill u, so as far as I am concern preach it anywhere, have respect for the house of God. The dead is already dead and nothing we say or do will ever brings him back. The only person who have such power is you. Because u worship man. If you were listening to the Preacher , you would have heard when he mentioned being held up twice while coming from church and that's my reason for mentioning about crimes , which have taken root in this country. So much so that a DUMB ASS like u can criticize.
