I bought hella playsets of the secret rare reprint of ultimate slayer for like 3-4 a set and now I’ve sold 3 for $10 each on eBay. Too easy. Still holding 8 quarter century copies for later

Prices of booster boxes make me scratch my head. I see boxes going for $200-$300 with the best selling card going for $20…meanwhile sets with numerous hundred dollar cards and more have boxes selling for $80.

Are you talking about old sets like Pharoahs Servent and stuff? They costs a lot because it's sealed and it's a dwindling resource. Those sets you are paying for the experience to open or store it, it logically makes no sense but emotionally is a different story.

I suppose, I guess I get the nostalgic meaning behind them, yet I find it hard to believe the price tag is still that high. I forget the set, but one booster set was over $300 with the best selling card at $15.

@ Usually if sets have an emotional or nostalgic feeling, the singles tend to reflect booster box sales as people want those cards to cherish. That’s why so many early sets are through the roof. Yet the prices of some of these boxes are mind boggling.
