not really.........thanos in the avengers was just a cool teaser from josh, they didnt even know about the stones, wich is why the mind stone changed color later and became part of the specter of loki , or why would thanos part ways wich such important tool and trust loki of all thigns with it

He said in an ign interview that he was very happy with Josh Brolin's portrayal of Thanos and Thanos was envisioned just the way he had intended. So all in all, Marvel Studios gave justice to the character.

Personally I like Thanos better. Don't get me wrong Darkseid is rad and I like him too, but Thanos got a bit more character put into him. It's actually pretty funny, a shameless knock off after a while became a better character lol. My opinion of course. No hate for Darkseid either, and I hope he gets justice if he ever shows up in film.
