Alaykum Salaam. For most of the time, Imam Mahdi was indeed in Madinah.

Just from the first Hadith, it says “the ninth of the Imams is the Qaim”, not the 9th of Imam Husayn (a.s.)’s descendants. Even Zayd ibn Ali (a.s.) and Isma’il ibn Ja’far (a.s.) have descendants to the 9th generations of Imam al-Husayn (a.s.). Just because of this mistranslation and your dishonesty (if intended), there is no need to cover all your other “proofs”.

@Thaqlain was I wrong in the translation though? It's your mistake to quote the Arabic, thinking no one can understand. This Riwayat does not prove that the Mahdi (a.s.) had to be born when Imam al-Askari (a.s.) died. You are using another Riwayat that says the world would not be left alone without a hujjah. That first Riwayat you brough doesn't prove that.
