Either way, what he said was not a fact. I could sit in front of a kid and stab myself in the stomach repeatedly, and the kid will laugh and be joyous(go ahead and start slapping or punching your head in front of a kid - most of them will think it's funny because they're stupid). I would argue that the only meaning one can actually derive from children laughing and cheering in any religious establishment is that the indoctrination process is going quite well...

I'm about 8 years older than my little sister. When she was a few months old my mom took us both to church. My sister was fussy and she began to cry. You could tell my mom was embarrassed -- even as an 8 year old I could perceive this. The pastor without hesitation said, "Wow. Listen to that beautiful voice God has blessed us with today. We don't get to have that here very often." The warm responses from the pews and smiles soothed my sister as well as my mom.

Lets focus on abu bakr : A companion, a true friend, let alone a best friend, does not leave his best friend's funeral preparations (and his grieving family) to go and fight with strangers over his best friend's inheritance. Refering to abu bakr and Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) A gentleman does not treat a daughter grieving (Refering to Prophet Muhammad's daughter Bibi Fatima(SA) ) for her recently deceased father in a harsh, adversarial manner (Fadak). That's not even touching the fact that to deny a daughter the inheritance that her father bequeathed to her (on spurious legal grounds) is incredibly mean to say the least. A gift can not be called sadiqqa or property got from battles. The historical fact is that Lady Zahra (Peace be upon Her) did not want Abu Bakr at her janazah. It is written in Sahih Bukhari Volume 5 and Sahih Muslim Volume 3 (I only give the volumes because the different editions published have different page numbers), that after this affair of Fadak, Lady Fatima became very much displeased with Abu Bakr and broke off relations with the Caliphate totally and never talked with him till she breathed her last breath. When she died, Imam Ali, as per her will, buried her in the darkness of night and did not even inform Abu Bakr or Umar NOW REMEMBER THIS: [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325, Narrator: Bibi Ayesha ]: Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died ALSO -[Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English, v5, Traditions #61 and #111 - Sahih Muslim, section of virtues of Fatimah, v4, pp 1904-5] Fatimah is a part of me. Whoever makes her angry, makes me angry. Our teacher say, if there are kids playing outside a masjid, the masjid/community will have good future (these kids will continue the legacy of their fathers), but if the masjid is only filled by old men and adults, then beware of your children's future.

And when the son was playing and making noise, the ustaz who was giving the lecture, asked them to leave because he said blatantly he could not stand the noise. The father sadly left the mosque with his son. It was one of the saddest day of my life.

That's not even touching the fact that to deny a daughter the inheritance that her father bequeathed to her (on spurious legal grounds) is incredibly mean to say the least. It is written in Sahih Bukhari Volume 5 and Sahih Muslim Volume 3 (I only give the volumes because the different editions published have different page numbers), that after this affair of Fadak, Lady Fatima became very much displeased with Abu Bakr and broke off relations with the Caliphate totally and never talked with him till she breathed her last breath. When she died, Imam Ali, as per her will, buried her in the darkness of night and did not even inform Abu Bakr or Umar NOW REMEMBER THIS: [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325, Narrator: Bibi Ayesha ]: Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died ALSO -[Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English, v5, Traditions #61 and #111 - Sahih Muslim, section of virtues of Fatimah, v4, pp 1904-5] Fatimah is a part of me. Whoever makes her angry, makes me angry. CONCEPT of caliphate DOES NOT exsists in Quran YOU may argue imamah does not exsist in Quran either but you are WRONG. Yes but the prophet peace be upon him let kids play he even let the Hassan and alhussain may allah be pleased with them climb over him while he was praying. Arab in not saying bad words sure, but kids playing harmless games and laughing in the massjid is good. In fact there used to be adults who spared with spears in the masjid and the prophet peace be upon him and Aisha may Allah be pleased with her watched them. As the sheik said, it’s better that the kids are playing in the masjid or the backyard of the masjid than in places we don’t know about. Actually in olden times the masjid wasn’t just a place for prayer but everything that has to do with the community, people would go there to study, the poor would go there to get food and even shelter. We need Baraka in our life and where is a better baraka than the house of allah?

But ever since our son was born when we took him at the age of 2 yrs old, some old lady scolded my wife and she never went to the masjid again. If you have reason to believe or have read enough on what you want to watch that you suspect it may have haram elements, probably better to be safe than sorry and avoid it. Probs applies to most things in this dunya tbh, but I think this fits well with your question. But also, most series of any kind have tags or categories associated with them so probs avoid the obvious one like gore, adultery but in all honesty if your willingly trying to avoid this stuff then inshallah you'll find one that is fine.

Fatima (رضي الله عنها) did not get her inheritance from the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) because the prophet said in the hadith: "Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqa (to be used for charity)." And thats why she got angry because of Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه). Not because of what you are implying. Second of all, Abu Bakr left the Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وسلم) funeral because they needed to decide the leader for the muslims or a fitna of leadership would have occured (as the Ansar wrongfully elected a leader). Now you might ask why Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) but not Ali (رضي الله عنه)? Didn't the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) choose him as the imam for the five daily prayers after he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) got sick? That's it. Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) and Omar (رضي الله عنه ) are the reason you are Muslim so don't talk ill about them. There is no imamah in the quran. No tafsir has ever explained these verses as you have. We don't want a monarchy as you guys want. Compare the shia and sunni empires in history. The shia empires for the most part were extremely corrupt while the sunni empires flourished in both religion and science. Now tell me do you pray to Ali or Hassan or Hussein (رضي الله عنهم) because that's shirk. As Allah says: يولج اليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وسخر الشمس والقمر كلٌ يجري إلى أجلٍ مسمى ذلكم الله ربكم له الملك والذين تدعوهم من دونه ما يملكون من قطمير. إن تدعوهم لا يسمعوا دعائكم ولو سمعوا ما استجابوا لكم و يوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ولا ينبئك مثل خبير. سورة الفاطر ١٣-١٤. Quran 35:14 So from the verse calling to other than Allah is shirk. Second of all, the Prophet pbuh said that his property is to be given to charity in the hadith. You said shia empires were not corrupt? Look at your history, the safavid empire was one of the bloodiest empires in history. The safavid turned all of Iran into shia by killing one million sunni Iranians. On the other hand, the fatamid empire was full of corruption. And I have watched shias pray, you guys pray in way the Prophet pbuh never prayed in.

Say that you want to share gods word with everyone, and you beleive that islam is a good way to do it, but also acknowlege that others have a perfectly fine way of interepreting gods word aswell. Also say that we all beleive in the same god, and everyone should have the freedom to beleive gods word in whichever manner they want.

Wish there were parents who taught there kids respect for knowledge. Just because the Shaykh is generous and gentle doesn’t mean the parents should leave there kids unattended making all that noise. This has nothing to do with Mercy and all that and we are very aware of how the Prophet SAWS was so caring and good to kids and attended to them even during the Khutbah. Yet, the responsibility falls on parents. This isn’t a zoo. This isn’t how it EVER was not in the time of the Rasul SAWS or the Salaf. It’s just these times. Take care your kids!

Brotha, were u there at the time of the Prophet or the Salaf and witness all that happens? Yes its a House of Allah. But the masjid is also a community place for ppl to gather, a place to rest, a place of leaning and catch up with other friends whom they have not met for a long time, for young and old. Maybe u forgotten about the hadith when Hassan and Hussein climbed on the prophets back when he(saw) was in Sujud during their congregation prayers. And what did he (saw) do? That itself is a lesson for us. What the sheikh speak is the truth. I ever have friends who wont go to mosque because people inside the mosque ridiculed him. And trust me, that is wayyyyy worst, which is to prevent people into the mosque than inviting and welcoming them in. May Allah grants us all esteem patience with excellent manners.

Lets focus on abu bakr : A companion, a true friend, let alone a best friend, does not leave his best friend's funeral preparations (and his grieving family) to go and fight with strangers over his best friend's inheritance. It's incredibly vulgar actually (be it in 7th century Arabia or this 21st century). Refering to abu bakr and Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) A gentleman does not treat a daughter grieving (Refering to Prophet Muhammad's daughter Bibi Fatima(SA) ) for her recently deceased father in a harsh, adversarial manner (Fadak). That's not even touching the fact that to deny a daughter the inheritance that her father bequeathed to her (on spurious legal grounds) is incredibly mean to say the least. A gift can not be called sadiqqa or property got from battles. The historical fact is that Lady Zahra (Peace be upon Her) did not want Abu Bakr at her janazah. It is written in Sahih Bukhari Volume 5 and Sahih Muslim Volume 3 (I only give the volumes because the different editions published have different page numbers), that after this affair of Fadak, Lady Fatima became very much displeased with Abu Bakr and broke off relations with the Caliphate totally and never talked with him till she breathed her last breath. When she died, Imam Ali, as per her will, buried her in the darkness of night and did not even inform Abu Bakr or Umar NOW REMEMBER THIS: [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 53, Number 325, Narrator: Bibi Ayesha ]: Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle got angry and stopped speaking to Abu Bakr, and continued assuming that attitude till she died ALSO -[Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English, v5, Traditions #61 and #111 - Sahih Muslim, section of virtues of Fatimah, v4, pp 1904-5] Fatimah is a part of me. Whoever makes her angry, makes me angry. NOW IN QURAN [33:57] Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment. CONCEPT of caliphate DOES NOT exsists in Quran YOU may argue imamah does not exsist in Quran either but you are WRONG. It is narrated in al-Kafi from Imam al-Baqir (a): Allah ordered his Prophet (s) about the wilayah of Imam 'Ali (a) [after the Prophet (s)] and revealed the al-Wilaya Verse and obligated the obedience of uli l-amr [in the Uli l-Amr Verse], and people did not know what is this wilaya. Allah ordered His Prophet (s) to describe them wilaya as he had described prayer, zakat, fasting, and hajj. The Prophet (s) was worried about people turn from Islam and impugn him, so he referred to His God and Allah revealed al-Tabligh Verse: "O Apostle! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. Indeed Allah does not guide the faithless lot." So the Prophet (s) publicized the wilaya of 'Ali (a) in Ghadir Khumm and ordered the present to inform the absent. Al-'Ayyashi narrates an identical hadith from Imam al-Sadiq (a). Quran [4:59] يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا أَطيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعُوا الرَّسولَ وَأُولِي الأَمرِ مِنكُم فَإِن تَنازَعتُم في شَيءٍ فَرُدّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسولِ إِن كُنتُم تُؤمِنونَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ ذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ وَأَحسَنُ تَأويلًا "O, you who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority (Ulu l-Amr) among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Apostle, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favorable in outcome."
