I’ve never even seen a low grade copy of ASM 300. It’s a newer book with a million copies out there. I bought mine for $10 back in the 90s(I had to save up my lunch money!). Now people are paying almost a grand for it. Crazy!!!! The internet is kind of a blessing and a curse for collectors, depending on “fomo”.

The interesting thing with the Batman & Robin issue 10 is that I never realised they actually printed the swears then blacked over them, I always just assumed they just printed the black bars where the swear would go. So that actually taught me something about how modern comics are printed.

So funny, that some where laying around in the thousands are these books. I remember someone in nyc once selling comics on the street and he was pushing books “rare books!” They were your typical secret wars 1 and 2 series as well as teen titan comics. 😂

You large saw some of these touted as rare or hard to find by several KZbin reseller channels heavily between 2020-2023😳. In my opinion books that are kind of “htf” usually start popping up when people put a higher evaluation on them, then there NOT so bar to find!🤔🤣

Thank you for bringing up Wolverine #131! I was subscribed to this book as a kid and got a letter from Marvel about the text error. I still have the comic along with the letter, and then picked up a corrected version years later. I always wondered if it was actually rare or worth anything. Many decades later I finally have an answer!

Sadly some of these “rare” printings are the results of some specific app’s/web pages inflating the value for some reason. Some have a high value there, and there’s no way they’ll sell for it. Love these videos that point out the gotchas. Helping folks be more realistic with their collections and purchases. Keep them coming!

As I was rebagging my comics last week, I found one where I did some math problems in pencil on a back page in the 1970s. I can definitively say that comic book is rare.
