@@CartmanRobin Temptation seemed to get a lot of views i think it's already over 1mil already on YT. I found them a few years ago, like many in past through KZbin's recommendations amazingly enough. Adding Violin just adds a great layer. And Eddie's vocals are always on point. Check any acoustic tunes they've done unreal.

They have yet to come to North America. They need to come as a direct result support for a big name like Architects or something. Their fanbase would exponentially grow. They have all the assets to succeed as a band internationally.

There is a classical piece called Thais Meditation. It has several bars that are heavier than the rest of the piece and they always feel a bit out of place. It also feels like you're at the end of it, but then there's another 8 bars that soften the ending. This song is similar in vibe.

@XandycamX3 жыл бұрын
I agree about that ending feeling abrupt and out of place but it makes the song feel like it builds more, almost like how Sleep Token writes their music
@CartmanRobin3 жыл бұрын
I have the same opinion on the ending like I have on the ending from temptation: it’s stops so abruptly. I would love to hear a little bit more of both breakdowns. But great song!
@CPTBacardi3 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed the inclusion of that breakdown. Deff was turning the track on its face, but that's the point (I think). I don't know much about this band, but if their music and style is in any way an indication, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the actual song structure as metaphor. Melodic songs are not my favorite unless they include the timbre of heavier guitar (like The Attendant from Make Them Suffer), but I would consider this one fantastic because it felt like the entire song was an exciting buildup. Felt like a song that leads to another track on an album. Not a fan of violin, but that's just my personal preference.

they might have put the heavy part in so that it makes a clean transition into temptation, assuming it's next on the album

Lol, I have been on the wagon since a weird seemingly youtube recommendation 2 years ago. Didn't hear before a band using the violin in this genre, what made me love their sound in the end. They rapidly grew in the 2 years I have known them. Tbh the end also seemed a bit off for me. I like it more when such an end has a logical build up. Makes you eager for the slapping end! Now it kind of puts you off out of nowhere lol.

Think about the ending in a different form what if the song leads into something heavier on the album then it’s artistically fitting to but a heavier ending in a slower intro song then boom track 2 goes into a heavier song so the pace change track to track doesn’t feel out of place it goes from the breakdown. To a heavier intro in my opinion because they are very artistic Endings done on purpose for track 2 IMO

When I listen to the song without the violin intro I feel like it works a lot better. I think it feels less slow. The violin intro just makes it really slow and kind of drawn out at the beginning. As far as the breakdown, I dont know, I like it but it does seem a little gimmicky. Anyways good song, but it took me a few listens to appreciate and I definitely think Temptation is a stronger song.
